We visited during construction && a wild rain storm. My only hard complaint is the way they handled parking && how slow the elevators are. I'm confident this property will be stunning after the remodeling-

Turd hotel

The roof leaked a puddle in the middle of my room the balcony door constantly leaked. Everything has been under construction for 2 plus years and still looks terrible. Different employees will tell you multiple Different versions of things. The other hotels are better.

The sliding glass door was leaking water in the track and onto the carpet and the fireplace didn't work. The neighboring rooms were loud during quiet time.They did give us 10% off and the staff was great.

The view was stunning. But because of renovation- there were a lot of difficulties that popped up. Hall lights out at night, ice machine and washer/dryer not working on our floor. TV had to be swapped out because didn't work. Fireplace was not working because of construction. Kitchen bar stools impossible for my handicapped spouse to get on. The staff however immediately jumped into action trying to solve all these issues!!! Thank you staff.

Check-in was a breeze. The front clerk used her discretion to put us in a room with a view because she understood we were there for our fifth year anniversary. Hotel is under a makeover, so I look forward to the next time we stay for the new look.

Wasn’t what I had booked

I booked a single Queen bed in a loft room and was given a second floor, double Queen in a room where the view was blocked by noisy HVAC equipment for the Mo’s restaurant downstairs. I couldn’t see or hear the ocean and really wish I had been given the room I booked for.

Half of the hotel was under remodeling construction. I understand the need for that, but it would have been nice to know when making the reservation. Remodeling construction was the most significant negative issue. Access to the building and parking area were restricted at times by yellow construction tape. Probably because of the remodeling, the ice machines did not work on the 4th and 5th floors. Stayed 2 nights and there was no room-service. Staff did apologize for that and provided clean towels at the front desk. Front desk staff was nice and helpful.

We did not have access to a beach view room, our first room was dirty upon check in. There was blood on the bathroom floor and lower wall. Long black hair on the bathroom floor. It smelled old and no closet. Second room was small, futniture was beat up, smelled old and no closet. The bed was INCREDIBLY uncomfortable and squeaky. The construction crew was very noisy late into the evening. The 4th floor had a briken ice machine and no vending machine. Staff was pleasant, but only one was remotely helpful with our room swap due to the state of the first room. Management never contacted us, it was left to us to ask for fixes and refunds, which we never got.

The property is undergoing major refurbishment and Expedia and the hotel’s website did not make any reference to this. The hotel was noisy and dirty. The work started early and continued all the working day. The works and machinery blocked access to the car park . We demand a refund to our bill and trust this will be forthcoming promptly as the condition of the hotel did no justify the price charged and no mention of the hotel’s condition was made at booking and no apology has been made. If the hotel or Expedia had made us aware of the ongoing refurbishments we would have never made the booking. My wife did not feel secure in the and slept very poorly. I intend to make a very poor review of my stay to all sources eg Trip Advisor

The room was great, and the view magnificent. But, our room heat did not work and it took two days to get it fixed. Also, there is construction going on, and a little bit of noise and mess on the fifth floor, but actually it wasn't too much and it was worth it to have such a great view. All in all, we really enjoyed our time there.

Nice place, but there are drawback

The view of the beach was stunning, unobstructed, and beautiful. Check-in was a breeze. The staff were very friendly. We even received a complimentary upgrade to our room. Only downfalls were the bed. It was firm as stone, not the best. And there was the everyday inconvenience of being woken up unwillingly to the sound of construction taking place at the property. Overall not a bad place to stay for a quick trip.
