This cabin was not available because of the roads and the water due to the weather, but very grateful the Cove Mountain realty was able to accommodate us with a very lovely cabin! We had a good trip

Smells of wet dog

Overall it was just fine, but not worth the price we paid. We did not notify property manager as our intent was not to stay in the home for the entire trips duration, but just have a home to relax in at the end of the day. The location is great and halfway between the Smokey national park and pigeon forge. However the home itself was not very clean. There were droppings in the laundry room, stink bugs inside the home and the worst was the wet dog smell throughout the house. The carpets were damp when we arrived, so my assumption is the cleaners tried to wet vac the home to try and help with the smell. On the bright side, there were bears that came right up to the front door. though they ones

House was Perfect!!!!

We enjoyed our trip so much! We will be back. It was 2 couples that came 55-63 in age. The house was roomy, comfortable, clean! The bears came to visit (mom and 5 babies!) a hot tub would have been nice…. But we managed without it! A couple of little things need seen to the coffee maker leaks. You only end up with a half a pot and it takes forever

Close to GSMNP

The roads were a bit narrow, and the furnishings a bit dated. But the wildlife was amazing! We saw a yearling bear and a momma bear with 5 cubs through the back windows! The home was clean overall, just a few small items that needed updating. New toilet seats, as the ones that were there had areas worn through the paint on the seats. The location was close to everything and we had a great time whi.e we were there.

This was a really nice place to stay. The road getting up there was a little scary. It was much easier coming down. It was well worth it. My daughter loved the jacuzzi tub. Also was a little pricey but not terrible.

Escape from Reality

Great Escape is just what the doctor ordered. Served our needs just fine. Lots of birds and the location is perfect for shooting into the Park or heading to Pigeon Forge. My only recommendation is for a hot tub. Thank you!

Beautiful, spacious and clean!

My family and I enjoyed this property very much. This was our first visit to the smokies and it was great. The house was clean, spacious and appropriate decor for the mountains. Plenty of kitchenware to cook and store food. You will definitely want to if you stay here for a couple of days or more. The first night we saw 3 bears right outside the home. The view was absolutely stunning. It was a view out of a magazine. Definitely keep pets and kids close by if you go outside because the bears frequent these mountains and this area. The only not so favorable feedback I have is the 5 miles getting to the home. The small town off Wears Valley Road had very few restaurants and the few we tried were not good. The road to get to the home was extremely steep and narrow. It was raining quite a bit and a little stressful to drive to and from the home after dark. For someone used to narrow and steep inclines, this won’t be hard. For me, it was a nail biter and my kids thought we were going up and down a roller coaster lol!

Nice Stay in a Secluded Area

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was spacious and clean. Also, there was plenty of room for our dogs to play. Getting to the cabin was quite treacherous. There were several steep grades and the driveway needs repair. All in all it was a good experience.

Beautiful view

Cabin was perfect for our New Years getaway. The drive was not bad at all but we are use to coming down and know how mountain roads are. We seen a bear walking close to the cabin. We would stay here again nice view and quiet.

Needs updated badly!!

I was hoping after reading several reviews a few months ago that some issues had been resolved but not the case! Dishwasher still doesn't work and is OLD! The dryer vents into the laundry room instead of venting outside. If a few things were updated and replaced, it would be awesome! Views were great and fairly private! Having a place to park and no steps is great! We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace 2 nights!

We have stayed two years in a row. It's a very nice house and is close to the National Park. You can easily get in and out of the Park without traffic. Highly recommended.

Great stay!

The area of the home is nice. Not much traffic and pretty mountain views. The furnishings are a bit dated, but that did not bother us. You won’t find a cabin easier to offload and reload. Having 2 bathrooms is great! And thanks for being dog friendly. Sophie, our British Cream golden, loved hanging out on the porch. We will be back.

Nice property location but house leaves a few things desired

The property location is nice and up in the mountains. The drive is very steep and you have to put in Gear 1 to climb up. I wish some early warning was given. We drove up there in the night and could not find the property. We had to go up and down the mountain twice. The "Great escape" board was inside the property and not at the entrance where other property signs were there. Appliances are outdated but works well. The refridgerator makes louder than usual noise so its hum was very noticeable in the night. The dishwasher soap is formed like a hard cake and it probably does not wash the dishes. There was a dish cloth but no dish scrubber to wash the dishes. We called the property manager and he said they provide dish clothes. We struggled washing the frying pan with a dish cloth. There was no bbq grill. THe charcoal grill that was there was dismantled and strewn in the grass. The hot water got over very fast when it was used for the Jacuzi. THe other bathroom got cold water. Good points: We were able to bring our call right to the door and easily get things in and out. Beautiful view. Did some star gazing. Beds were comfortable. Living room is nice and big and alots of dvds and books and games.
