Cheap Hotels in Skidmore Academy Historic District

A lot of thought went into creating Callahan’s Mountain Lodge. Upon entering the lady at the desk Michelle was so very helpful. As I was struggling with this odd heavy bag she readily offered to help me get everything to my room. There is a real wood burning fireplace (plenty of wood available in the hallway.)The room was very spacious with a king bed, large jacuzzi, table and chairs, coffee area with good sized frig and two chairs with a small table (convenient plug in floor) to use your iPad and enjoy the fireplace and charge your electrical items right there. Huge chest of drawers and large TV rounded out the room. It’s nice to see real wood being used for the furniture and thankfully someone here realized there are other colors in the universe other than dead flat white. Walls were a much more calming sandy color. Two sinks in the bathroom extra large shower stall and a three section mirror. There was even a small towel that said makeup, so you don’t get makeup on your clothes in the morning. A door leads out to a huge deck with rocking chairs to sit and enjoy the breathtaking scene in front of you. Large restaurant for breakfast in the morning. I was sorry I had eaten before check-in as something smelled tasty. Lastly, several people had dogs with them so good pet place too.

We had a very nice stay at the Rogue Regency Inn and Suites. It was great to have 2 options for meals at this locations so we did not have to go out somewhere else. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.

A wonderful hotel and the best outdoor facilities in all of the area. Great bar snd lounge facilities snd a pool area that has the ambiance of a resort facility in Florida. They do their best to keep road noise concealed with resort music.
