Book Solferino hotels

Beautiful converted 1600th century villa. Small, but very clean room. Very near to piazza Arnaldo and all things Brescia.

Really nice hotel right on the waters edge in Sirmione. We stayed for 3 nights in a room with a lake view. If you’re taking a car then drop a line to the hotel who will arrange parking at a large car park about 300 meters from the hotel. It’s about £10 per 24 hours and you get a complimentary chauffeured ‘stretch’ Golf Buggy which delivers you and any luggage direct to the hotel. If you travel ‘light’ it’s only about an 8 minute walk. The ‘Lake View’ part of our room was an added extra which I wouldn’t bother with again as you had to climb out your bedroom and look over a brick wall to see the lake and over the 3 days we saw the lake morning, noon and night. Can’t decide whether room was a bit dated or fitted in with the decor of the hotel, bit of unsightly mould around the shower but other than that room was very clean, (maid was daily). Biggest issue but not the biggest deal in the world was the lack of plug sockets, 1 behind the TV (being used by the TV) and the only other one in the bathroom (!). This made charging phones etc a bit problematic. Hotel staff were helpful and super friendly. Included ‘Free’ Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice but omelettes and poached eggs etc came at an additional price. The outdoor pool and spa is in a separate building opposite with the pool being a bit tight for space, you’d do well to just turn up and get a sun-bed, yet alone 2. Exceptional breakfast buffet, Shuttle to the old town just across from the hotel, free hotel parking, very helpful staff, overall an exceptionally run hotel, will definitely stay there again.

I do not often leave a review, but the hotel, especially the staff was 10 out of 10 they really went out of their way to help when my flight had a 2 hour delay and I needed to get to the station early the next morning.

I cannot say enough great things about Hotel Flaminia. It was so great, we booked an additional 2 nights the following week. The location is excellent. The view of sunset from the large deck is spectacular and matches their wonderful Aperol Spritzes. The staff is wonderful, warm, welcoming, helpful etc...they get to know their guests and do treat you like family. The arranged parking is easy. The rooms were great. We had 2 very different rooms, both extremely comfortable, very clean, great views, very good accommodations -everything you would need. Wonderful breakfast. And the proof of it all were all the very relaxed and happy guests. Just a great vibe. My husband and I love to travel and we can't stop talking the great time we had this hotel. We will be back again.
