This is an old family home, not a hotel; Gated, beautiful landscaping, happy small dog, bright and clean rooms, large bathroom and shower, large balcony. The owner and daughter were very helpful with suggestions for eating (all excellent). Very close walking to old Sorrento and the bay. No elevator, some street noise at night (planned future improvements).

perfect place to visit

Villa Rose Sorrento is an absolutely lovely property. Our room was spacious and bright, with a large terrace that overlooked the beautiful landscaping. The kitchen area was well equipped, and the staff was very pleasant. We had a wonderful time here - Sorrento is a wonderful city!

Nicely furnished, clean room

Monica who works at that desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Gave us information on local places to go and things to do. Outside Street noise was loud, but settled down at night. Nice amenities. Clean and quiet.

Perfect accomodation at a moderate price!!

Perfect small hotel, clean and spacious rooms, and so nice to have an available outdoor patio area, very charming, Would go back there in a hearbeat, great local restaurant right across the street.It really made for a pleasant visit to Sorrento!

Really nice comfortable stay

We were three woman travelling & exploring so spent little time at hotel. Living area is not overally large but we had a big outdoor area & large bathroom, so space was fine. Location was really close to town & safe & having secure car parking was really important as well as good wifi

Won't stay here again

The air conditioning in our room did not work. Also, the internet signal was not strong enough in our room to connect our computer or iPhone. The man who was at the front desk wanted us to pay for the room at the beginning of our stay which I thought was unusual. I explained that I would not do so. I paid at the end of our stay as is typically done. We will not stay here again.

worst stay possible

Firstly the apartment was clean and well located, but that is where it stopped! The hardest, most unconfortable bed I've even endured. Ended up sleeping on the sofa bed for the 5 nights... The guy that runs the place has a horrendous odour and you can smell him as you enter the reception. He also lives down stairs and has his television on full volume all night which keeps you awake. Not a lot of good to report about this place!

Miserable experience - DO NOT STAY HERE

Miserable experience. There were no towels in the room. The parking is in the front lawn and we were at the mercy of others parked behind us moving their cars. There was no internet service. There was no breakfast service, even through it was advertised as including breakfast. The "bed" for the third person was a sofa bed that was not "sleepable" - you felt the springs. My son had to sleep on the floor. The worst part is that there was no one there at the property to discuss any of this with. Once we checked in(and they took our money)the person at the front desk was never seen again. I wonder how they run a hotel with no one at the hotel available to service guests.

Good apartments. Would recommend, but...

Great place with free WiFi. Each apartment has their own terrace. Very good rooms and bathrooms. The owner stayed in one of the rooms. He was very annoying with loud TV on during the night. Clean place with a great house keeper. I would recommend this. If you just want somewhere to stay then fine, but if you want a pool or real outside space you'll need to book somewhere else...

Noisy but neat

Well located and priced - just a 10-15 minute walk to the old town and main port. Kitchen facilities are good enough for breakfast and maybe something you put together from the deli, but only a couple of small frying pans provided, so don't count on cooking your dinner. Had to ask for a coffee maker. As noted by others, breakfast is a stale croissant in a packet and instant coffee or tea, left in your room. The tavern nearby has music every night, but always stopped by midnight ( we were there Sunday - Thursday nights) so as long as we didn't want to sleep too early it wasn't a problem. The other guests were a different matter. Room cleaned daily, but towels not changed after 3 days as promised. Plenty of space, comfortable bed. Parking was available, which we needed. Manager is not always in attendance, which didn't bother us, but if we had needed something or arrived when he wasn't around it could have been problem.

Nobody's perfect

Great little hotel in great shape in a great area of Sorrento. Only there was no hot water, the internet didn't work and, even though we had told the manager we needed to leave at 5:30 am, our car was blocked in and we had to wake people up. The place is clean and the staff is helpful and friendly.

Location on a crossroads

Unfortunately the restaurant opposite had some kind of Kareoke every night which went on until the early hours of the morning The room smelt damp on arrival but the air con/heater soon dealt with the problem. however the room was fine. The buffet breakfast consisted of sachets of nescafe coffee varieties.tea bags ,sugar,honey,jams,and packets of toast/croissants in a basket left in the room.

Good price with car parking

We wanted a comfortable, reasonably priced room, with car parking, within walking distance of Sorrento and this fitted the bill. A bit tricky to find but the room was clean and spacious, the bathroom and shower were fine and the bed was comfortable. Easy 15 minute walk into central Sorrento.

A lovely leafy villa in a quiet area of Sorrento

We booked a studio apartment in this pretty, leafy, gated villa consisting of 6 apartments and were not disappointed. The TA reviews had not been that favorable here, but we really enjoyed our stay. It was a 10 minute walk to the main square, but with shops, people and traffic along the whole length of it, so never far from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The apartment was well equipped and serviced daily.

Villa Rosa Sorrento was easy to find and an easy walk to great shopping and restaurants. Our room had a large private patio. Unfortunately, our shower sprayer broke and there was no hot water in the hotel in the morning.
