Good location and service, needs better curtains

We have stayed here 4-5 times in the last couple of years and this was our first disappointing stay. The room we had was directly across from some street lamps and the curtains only stop at the window sill instead of running to the floor. As a result, the room was never dark and I had a lot of trouble staying asleep. If you need full darkness when you sleep and select one of their standard rooms, bring an eye mask or request a room that does not face towards the park or river.

We had a river view suite and it was right near to the pool. I was able to upgrade to a different room with the help of the excellent staff but the views of the first room didn’t match my expectations based on the pictures when we made our reservation. The room we got had a great view but the AC was loud and we kept hearing some noise at night, and the beds weren’t very comfortable as well.

Our rooms… both poolside, were not ready until after 5:00!!! Completely unacceptable. The also told us they could not offer a refund as I didn’t book directly through them, but used Hotels.com. What a terrible experience… customer service was completely lacking

The poolside drinks is fun. The pool is busy but there’s a lifeguard. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the food and drinks were good. Beds were just right. Four people and four towels - great job (some hotels don’t do this). We stayed 2 nights and room was tidied the first day (garbages emptied, towels exchanged, and beds made). Great location across from downtown and close to shopping.
Fireworks are very close for the 4th.

The pool is beautiful and well kept. I think the property in West wing has a musty smell almost like sewage. The property was over booked and i had some issues getting into a room. The manager made it right and gave me the presidential suite which was nice.

Housekeeping was not up to par. It took over 4 hours to get clean towels. Mirror was not cleaned. Cables were strung along the ceiling in the hallway on the West wing 7th floor. Furniture needs updating. Food was great also the decor of the dining area and the lounge was great. Will stay again.

Loved It But Didn't Get a Deluxe Room as Reserved

Booked a deluxe room. The view was the parking lot, and building lights came through the dark-out curtains. The distinct smell was neither bad nor pleasant. The pool on Saturday was out of towels.
