Incomplete room

I’m not sure if the room we stayed in was recently renovated but the room felt incomplete. The renovations were well done but there were a lot of missing details that made things feel off. The WiFi didn’t reach the room, the shower door was possibly installed backwards, the latch to the shower didn’t work. All of this felt like the room was updated but no one had stayed in it to make it feel comfortable.

Enjoyed our stay!

Stayed in the Eisenhower king suite and it was lovely. Had some comfort difficulties with the hide a bed and manager quickly remedied with a wonderful roll away. Beautiful historic refurbished building close to the Interstate Center.

Good: beuatiful, classic as if traveld to 1950s. Furnitures and hotel design...Very nice and clean room. Bad: some smell I did not like. Some might like or ok with it. Not so bad: $10 parking fee per night. No breakfast. Parking, entry, lobby are all in different side of the building.

Awesome old hotel fowntown. Such a unique atrium to relax in. Rooms were spacious but not very sound proof. As a single traveller I wouldnt go out alone at night but thankfully there is a great restaurant in the hotel cellar! Definitely staying here again.

This turned out to be a last minute trip. But the Montvale was great. We stayed in the 2 room suite, which was perfect for us, very large room. The restruant below the hotel was a treat as well. Great food and cocktails. Alot of things to do in walking distance as well. I would recommend staying here to everyone.

All around great stay!

The hotel had an artsy modern look and information on nearby restaurants with discount coupons to use. Friendly staff and very helpful! We really thought Delaynee @ front desk was exceptional! The Guilded Unicorn was excellent for dinner & First Ave Coffee was a great hit as well!

Cute, but not so comfortable

I love the decor-so old fashioned-like 1880’s. The bed was so soft it gave us a back ache, the walls were kind of thin (heard the guy next door struggle with his cough all night), and no vanity space in bath for toiletries was pretty inconvenient.The restaurant/bar, while not owned by the hotel, was a fun space-food ok, service great! Ok for the price point but since we didn’t get much sleep we won’t be staying again.
