As I’m pulling out of my driveway I get an email. Not call that the property was overbooked. And to call the owner/ manager. he explained to me the new property nearby and I’m literally trying to drive to st simons and decide if I’m getting hosed. I ask about rate being the same and he confirmed year. He always waived cleaning fee. New place I was uncertain if it would work. But it was fine. The property was on the ground floor and the guests staying above our room you could hear footsteps anytime they walked across the room. Like loudly. And when using the bathroom you could hear their conversations like they were staying in your room. Overall I didn’t really believe the overbooking excuse or reasoning. Or the timing but the property manager was fairly responsive and polite. But the property was clean but the experience mainly the hosting was not the best. The timing of this especially Original listing
