My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at the 1842 Inn. We were greeted with a smile and wonderful support throughout our stay. Breakfast in the parlor was lovely. I will stay again when in town!

The hospitality of the staff was first rate. We were given a brief tour and invited to happy hour for drinks and appetizers. Breakfast was ordered. You can have it from a range of times and either in your room, the parlor or court yard. We headed out for an evening event and the hostess invited us to borrow an umbrella. The bathrooms were dated. The spigots in tub were hard to turn on and off. The towels were a little rough. There were nice robes for relaxing.

This is an antebellum house built in 1842 with large magnolia trees in the front yard and a huge wrap around veranda. You can sit on the front porch in the rocking chairs and think about how things were 170 years ago! The staff was very accommodating and it was a great visit.

Cool property with lovely outdoor/indoor spaces for reading or enjoying coffee. A real breakfast is included, along with afternoon snacks during cocktail hour in the parlor. Walking distance to the cemeteries on the river and other historic sites. Great pillows.

Fantastic Friendly Historic Inn

Everything about this historic inn is great! The staff are amazing with special mentions for Cathy(hope this is the correct spelling) who made our stay. Her recommendations were spot on and her sheer enthusiasm and love of Macon is a credit and great benefit for this Inn. Also a special mention too for Sarah and her delicious mint julip. The rooms are beautiful and very large. It’s very friendly and we chatted with other guests. There were single travellers staying and I can see that this would be a great place to do this as well as for couples or groups. Breakfast was delicious too. I would thoroughly recommend this inn for a trip to Macon. You can walk downtown easily to the local restaurants and bars. It was easy and cheap to get Ubers too.

Fantastic!

I was in Macon looking for a home to buy. The staff was terrific. They were super helpful and friendly. The afternoon drinks on the porch were exactly what I needed. Thanks so much Sarah!!! Breakfast was also great. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Great location. Nothing bad to say!!!
