Hotel is pretentious and overpriced. Was told I could check-in at a certain time. When I arrive to the hotel after that time they told me the room still wasn’t ready. I spent $1800 for two nights you think you’d get better customer service than that. Wasn’t offered complimentary wine service like I saw the other guests getting. Valets weren’t very friendly and seemed bothered the one time I asked them to get my truck for me. I’d look for other more affordable options on the Riverwalk before I stayed here again.

Loved the location, but our balcony room looking out over the Riverwalk wasn't ready when we tried to check in at 4:50pm. The excused was that we had a balcony room. So i guess the best & most expensive rooms are cleaned last? We were told it was being inspected by mgt. Then made to wait 20 more mins while they checked ppl in and out. I finally had to interupt then to get our rook key. So frustrating....

Amazing locate, right off the river walk. Peaceful stay. Great rooms, very spacious, comfy bed, amazing staff from valet to front desk to housekeeping. Definitely felt pampered. June was amazing masseuse at the spa. Great food at the hotel restaurant Ostra.

We were really blown away by the Mokara. The staff from concierge to valet to spa to housekeeping could not have been more lovely. The room was wonderful as well, although the room heat didn't seem responsive on our last day (it was November and maybe the hotel heat wasn't turned on yet?). The bed was stupendously comfortable (to the point where we looked it up). We didn't realize we got spa access with the room - that alone is a HUGE bargain. Yes, the valet is expensive but there are in/out privileges and in the end we were happy we paid for it. The location is amazing, especially if you are overlooking the riverwalk.

It was an annual birthday visit. Prosecco and a nice dessert plate waited in our room. We sat on the balcony and watched the riverwalk boats amble by while enjoying our wine that evening. Our room was clean, the staff is always wonderful, new soaker tub in the bathroom is amazing. It is a treat we look forward to every year—and we have never been disappointed!
