Staff Reception and Management were all fantastic! Our stay was at a time just after the major storm but nothing was too much. I had flown in from Portugal but the stories I heard from local people who the hotel had looked after during this awful time was amazing. Well done The Ellison. I stay was for business which had me arrive very late at night and depart early morning. The hotel reception did call me to clarify that I would be staying as they grew concerned at the time of evening before my arrival which I appreciated. The reception were very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. Car Parking facilities were free and adjoining the hotel which allowed. me to leave my car and arrive safely at the reception desk without walking outdoors. Although I hadn’t the time for breakfast in the morning, the smell from the restaurant Was tempting.

Loved the location opposite the Mayo Peace Garden and just 10 mins walk from the hustle of Castlebar. Breakfasts were great but the restaurant menu wasn't easy for me as I'm Gluten and Dairy Free. NO PROBLEM - our lovely waitress chatted with the chef and I had an absolutely delicious Thai curry. Thank you so much for your care and attention. We had a great stay X
