Ludwigsburg is a lovely area. Easy access for Stuttgart by train. Would recommend the area for a short stay.

Great property within easy reach of Stuttgart city centre and the hotel being 1 minutes walk from the station was fantastic. Ludwigsburg was also really nice.

It's exactly what it says: budget

ibis budget Ludwigsburg is exactly what it says: budget The hotel is modern, efficient and clean. It's short walk (2-3 minutes) to the train station is a definite plus. I felt that "budget" was taken a step too far. There should be a cup or glass for brushing your teeth and two towels instead of one (one bath towel and one hand towel). The staff was very friendly and helpful with some of my questions. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.

We booked two rooms as we were visiting family.We had to change room 3 times out of 5 night stay as all the rooms were flooded with water droplets from air conditioning unit dripping near the door .Our first room window was hanging out of the latch every time we opened the door window opened coming out of latch such huge safety issues and I was holding with my hand then the receptionist came and locked that window again we moved room .The receptionist both ladies were very helpful and kind but I wouldn’t stay in this hotel as I never expected this very basic if I had known I would have booked elsewhere not ibis .i regularly book at ibis but this is very below standard and it’s not worth the money ,my son truly believe ibis has to refund some kind of compensation for all the inconvenience.

Great hotel for a budget. Very convenient to the train station and downtown Ludwigsburg. The staff is also VERY helpful if you don’t speak German. The only negative is that the air conditioning sometimes leaks condensation.

We enjoyed our stay at Ibis Ludwigsburg- it was really close to the train ststion and the price was affordable. The staff was friendly and our checking in/out was quick.

Wafer thin walls, hence noisy

I booked a budget hotel, I am not expecting a four star. What I do however expect with a reasonably new hotel that they would have built to a reasonable standard, but the walls are wafer thin, somebody at Accor head office decided to save every single cent on building material. The man next door had a cough, and it was like he was staying in the same room. Also they did invest in heavy doors, which slam shut and move the furniture in your room and sale you up. Essentially from a hotel room you want a quiet environment, this hotel is noisy by design. Of all the hotel chains, I think Accor is the worst. When I was a platinum member, they didn't always read my request. This time they acknowledged my request and I was shocked that they had. Upon checking in I realized that they hadn't, and it took an age to find a suitable room, which of course wasn't available. The air con was a joke, it appears to be on one setting, no matter what you set it at, on/off, cool or hot. On the positive side the room was clean, but that's the only positive I can see.

Don’t Stay Here

First, the pluses: air conditioning and an appetizing breakfast for a reasonable price. Now, the minuses: First, it is very disheartening to have the shower in the guest room, rather than the bathroom. Second, there is no room phone—-a disadvantage if you have problems with the room. You can’t just call the Front Desk; you have to go down there. Third, I had to be moved three times. In the first room, I could hear the person in the next room snoring. In the second room, the chair-level lights flickered through the night. I was moved to a third room for the second night. There, I had the same problem when I plugged in a medically necessary device. I then told the hotel that I wanted to leave.
