The only negative for my stay was the size and weight of the room service meal plates. I was on my own at the sunny coast for a neurosurgeon appointment having severe back pain and the weight of the plates individually and especially all together on the tray were far too heavy to lift and manoeuvre. The meals were delicious.

Nice place for a quick stay... didnt have many facilities in room that we needed like a microwave or cutlery for takeaway meals. I found 4 children toys under the rollaway bed from previous guests. So beds dont get moved..

We asked for extra biscuits for our cheese platter and told we had to pay extra plus another tray charge. Please ensure if you are going to give so much cheese you give sufficient biscuits to have the cheese to minimise watage. The lady on the phone was not accommodating at all

Worst hotel we have stayed in.

Our room stunk of urine coming from the bathroom, bathroom floor still had wet patches from cleaning but it stunk of urine. Guess someone had a pee in the shower and cleaner didn’t clean it properly. The room also looked dirty as there was a large stain on the carpet and the lounge chair had dirty marks all over it, I went down to reception to tell them but they could not move us as fully booked so they sent someone up with a bucket and mop to clean, which helped with the smell. Tried to turn air conditioning off as it was cold but it was stopping and starting all night causing us to keep waking up due to the noise and made us freeze. We thought if we stayed at a Mercure hotel it would be clean but no. Would not recommend staying here.

I've stayed here before and I knew how appropriate this hotel was for me. Staff 100%. Meal options excellent. WOTIF? Not so good. Two amounts were taken from my account. You can only contact Wotif by email or chat. Waiting time ok compared to banks and internet providers but the chat itself was disruptive. I had to upload proof of the double dipping to my bank account and the chat upload wouldn't accept the upload despite being around 186k. Very frustrating to the chat agent and myself. Several attempts over 15-20 minutes meant the chat dropped out due to my failed responses. I phoned Mercure who rightly said they couldn't assist but they only had one booking.
