The building and grounds is steeped in history and is absolutely beautiful. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful in so many ways I can't even begin to tell you as there wouldn't be enough room here! We were upgraded as it was my husbands 40th birthday, which was a lovely surprise, and there was a birthday card and big bar of chocolate waiting in our room (which had premium brands of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc etc). We had the pool and sauna etc to ourselves on the first use and was quiet on the second and was a really lovely way to relax after a day exploring the Cotswolds. Dinner in the main restaurant and atrium bar was delicious (dined in restaurant twice and atrium once). A thoroughly enjoyable break and birthday celebration for my husband who was blown away by the whole thing (it was kept a secret til the moment we pulled up, which certainly gave the wow factor I had hoped for!)

Steam room had no hose to wash off the benches, sauna had bits of wood hanging off inside. The hot breakfast, only the sausages where warm, everything else cold The rope on the flagpole outside my room slapped like a cracking whip all night and I got very little sleep When I mentioned this to the manager at checkout he said sorry, the grounds staff should have taken it down - end of conversation!

Room was okay but thick cobwebs were around the curtains,dirty window sills and draughty windows. Food was lovely and the wedding we attended was very well organised but the music was so loud we couldn't hear what anyone was saying. Sorry to say that we could not sleep because of the music blaring till one o'clock in the morning. Tortworth court was a beautiful venue let down by cleanliness and noise,

The hotel is beautiful and grand aesthetic from the moment of arrival. Staff were very friendly and the choice of restaurants offers a great tasting options. The breakfast was also vast with high quality foods on offer. Spa and gym were good with the pool at a good temperature. The slight negative is layout with the steam too and sauna upstairs. The rooms were clean and well layed out. They felt slightly tired but we're quiet and cosy. Lastly, plenty of electric chargers made the stay easy. Definitely worth it for a couples break or a wedding.

Great stay, we had a very nice pizza in the atrium bar and the cocktails were also nice. Breakfast was a buffet but lots of choice and good quality ingredients. Enjoyed an hour in the little pool, steam and sauna.
