The hotelnis across the street from the airport but the bridge that crosses the highway is closed for renovations. That is not the hotel's fault but we arrived at midnight, we waited for about an hour for their shuttle, which did not show up and noone answered our calls to the hotel. We took a taxi which cost $20 to basically go across the street. When we arrived at the hotel and complained, they said it wasn't their problem that the bridge was closed. The room was ok, very dated and in need of an update, faded glory comes to mind when describing this hotel.

The hotel shouldn’t be renting rooms in the North Tower. It’s old, smelly, and the walk to get there is unsafe. The key didn’t work, the rooms on that tower are not well kept. Gives the impression that the Camino Real chain (that used to be a synonym of quality) is falling in pieces.

Our room this time was older, with a window facing a wall. The worst thing is the restaurant, where the food is insanely overpriced and not very good. I had a pozole made with little cubes of pork and in all my years of cooking inauthentic Mexican cuisine at home I’ve never made anything quite that sad. Anyway, beware the room category and skip the restaurant altogether - especially the breakfast buffet, which is an adequate, average buffet with a Vegas price tag.

It took over 1 hour to check in. When I mentioned this to the lady checking us in she just laughed and and handed me the room key without any direction to the room or a I'm sorry.
