Nice but wouldn’t recommend.

Nice hotel but was a little disappointed. The room was so hot and was unable to turn the heating off, they offered a fan but meant we had to sleep with the balcony door opened so was very loud, also the tv continuously turned on by itself which was really annoying at night. We had to ask them to unplug it on 2nd night. Had mentioned it was my wife’s birthday, hoping they may have offered something and got an email back asking if I wanted balloons for 55 euros or balloons, cake and cava for 160! Thought that was ridiculous and on check out no one even asked if we had a nice stay. Nice place but left disappointed.

Meliá Alicante has superb views of beech and easy access to promenade and eating house across the road. Our half board option gave us varieties of dining menu such as paella steak lamb chops and many veggie options for my wife.

Immaculate and friendly hotel

This is a lovely immaculately kept hotel. The staff are friendly throughout the hotel. This is our third time staying and the room allocated seemed to have less sound proofing and we had several disturbed nights due to noise of doors slamming and chairs scraping unfortunately. Breakfast is excellent and varied although the hot food could be hotter and the evening meals in the restaurant were excellent. Great base to explore the city, the beaches and castle.

Great hotel well located in the marina the only reason I didn’t give it an excellent was the hotel restaurant for evening meals the service was poor and the seating manager was worse than useless promising the meal came with things it didn’t. Do not use this place

Ok bit tired.

Hotel needs a refresh…. Corridors are very dated as are balconies. Beds very comfortable. Poor checkin as was given a room with no view despite having booked this. Upon complaining I was moved to a room with the view I’d paid for. Breakfast needs non dairy yoghurt. A lot was shut as march?? Really odd. And spa under are renovation

This is a well located hotel with easy transport links and many dinning options nearby, the room service menu was very poor, it had only three options for dinner including caesar salad and white rice but the hotel had a good restaurant with many options. We booked a room with marina view but we received a room on the first floor with the view blocked by an small building, the isolation was absolutely bad, we could hear the next room guests chatting and we were awaken very early by the people walking the corridors and the noise of the cleaners, after the first night we complained and we were moved to a better room on the third floor with an amazing view and better isolation. We certainly could come back but being sure we are given a proper good room for the price paid.

Hotel has good location but make sure you only book the very best room - some rooms (even premier) are not 4 star standard. The hotel has alot of rooms and at times can be noisy in corridors at night. This is an old 1970's hotel which has been refurbished so it's layout might feel a little old fashioned particularly how rooms are positioned.
