I liked the Way it was decorated, in the theme of a log cabin (I really like log cabins ) AND the grounds are Really well looked after. Because I've just started looking after some grounds about the same size. Maybe a wee bit bigger.

Place was lovely and the breakfast was excellent. The room clean and the bed was really comfortable. The too. was just too warm to sleep properly with no air conditioning and the radiator outside number 2 room was on constantly. Nice use of spa facilities for free. I would stay again but maybe in a cooler month due to lack of air conditioning.

Peaceful overnight stay

Was very grateful to all the receptionists that I spoke to, who gave really helpful service - I wanted to have a room not too far into the forest as I was on my own and also would be on foot but the road for the lodges is for car traffic. The surroundings were really incredible in the hot weather, cool, beautiful evenings, squirrels and birds. Places to sit and enjoy the outside. Food and drink smelt good although I didn't try them. Phone reception was a bit tricky but it would help with relaxation.

Lovely stay overall

Chevin was a perfect choice for us as we were attending a wedding very close by. We had a standard double Woodland Cabin which was much smaller than the photos on the website portray. If I was to stay again, I would choose the Executive cabin. The restaurant was lovely and the food good and reasonably priced, though we only ate there once.

Chevin is a good base to see Yorkshire

Having used Chevin in the past, it was a pleasant stay for a midweek break. Think most people would enjoy the facilities that it has to offer. Would gladly use it again.

Great place set in woodland, rooms very spacious and spotless. Only problem was that some of the soft closures on the doors need replacing which resulted in doors banging loudly. We reported this and they said they would get on to it straight away. Would definitely return.

Really liked the woodland lodge we stayed in, but could have been a lot better, no airer to dry our swimming costumes and towels, managed with coat hangers, just think an airer would be a great addition. Beds were ok, deeper clean would have been appreciated as were lots of cobwebs with spiders in, in every room, Didn’t want to sit on the outside furniture because it was dirty and so many cobwebs, there wasn’t a sweeping brush or anything. I understand it’s a woodland but it could have been kept up to a lot better, just needed a good sweep and hose things down,The windows were doubled up and the middle was just covered in dust and webs felt like there was creepy crawlies everywhere. Kitchen was very good had everything we needed appliances were clean, bathroom the same accept cobwebs with spiders. On a positive note we enjoyed our time there, the staff were really nice warm and welcoming. I would stay again but in the hotel next time as woodland creepy crawlies isn’t for me I have established.

This looked a nice place however room was dirty curtains bathroom bedside table inside the fridge skirting boards had pubic hairs in bathroom tv never worked stains on the walls breakfast was dreadful and sent back refunded breakfast as never ate it and offered 20% off room charge only stayed 5 hours from check in

Wholesome. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. There was a mix up with a payment. I could not fault how helpful, thoughtful and politely it was sorted. Really quiet cabin immeresed amongst the trees. Spacious, clean and very comfortable.
