The room gets cleaned every 3 days, staff weren’t friendly, didn’t even provide complimentary water, instead they had vending machines for you to purchase, very disappointing for the cost of stay
The staff was absolutely unhelpful. I left my purse in an uber and couldn't communicate with the cab company. I was leaving the country the next day. The staff refused to explain my situation to the cab company and did not attempt to help me resolve the problem at all. When I asked the staff to call the company a second time, they gave me so much pushback and when they finally called a second time, they barely spent any time on the phone. They could not answer my questions about whether the driver was found, how long it would take for them to locate the driver, or any other relevant information. When I asked to speak with a manager to help communicate, they refused. There is no working phone in the hotel room either, so I couldn't make the call myself. I asked if there was anywhere I could make a phone call, they said no and walked away. Completely dismissive and utter lack of urgency or willingness to help.
I would rate our stay as excellent if not a few misunderstandings. The room that we booked via hotels.com was listed as "top-floor two-bed". It was never mentioned that the room is tatami room with two (good) mattresses on the floor. The photo was too small to realize that the room is Japanese style. "European beds" were mentioned for the first time when we asked clerks at the reception. Fortunately, two nights later (after paying the difference) we were moved to a European style room (which was great!) but before that our bags remained unpacked because there were no surfaces to put our stuff (even a computer). Other minor things were that majority of an "international" hotel staff uses tablets to translate responses to English and buffet is good for 2-3 days after what it became boring because of a short menu that never changed. Everything else (location, comfort, quietness, etc) were excellent, after learning our lessons we would stay there again.
Great place to stay, felt safe and it was so close to the train stations. Staff was helpful and polite. No issues. 20 minute walk to the shopping and big stations. Family mart and 7/11 was 1-2 min walk away.
I thought this stay was very overpriced for the condition of the property. The elevators were very slow, the customer service was okay, and the building looked old. I assume the price entirely comes from being near Shinjuku and Shibuya but I think in the future I’d rather stay in a different area for way less.
Whilst the room was quite small, it was very clean, and the staff were incredibly polite and friendly. The location was ideal for transport and convenience. Would definitely recommend a stay here

Disliked: Amenities
Old hotel but renovated. Shape of the room was weird and I couldn't really relax but the bed was big enough. Their pillow made my neck hurts.
The room was small for two people but had other positive factors such as a good variety for breakfast as well as a close walking distance for transportation. Overall, it was a good experience.
