The Annex is a trendy & quiet place, with easy access from Union! We loved the unique artwork and design of the room. Also the HUGE windows and all of the light! There were so many great restaurants and cafés to choose from as well as bars and music. We wnjoyed the coffee and breakfast in the cafe in the morning, and the staff were very kind. Highly recommend! We will be staying again.

It was such a unique and lovely experience. Thank you to the staff. I enjoy the fact that there was a record player however I think there was a heating issue in our room where it was pretty hot besides that it was an amazing experience.

Great stay!

You don’t need to stay in a chain hotel. This place is close to everything, it’s clean and there’s plenty of parking for a fee. Beds are very comfortable.

It’s stylish, it’s cute, the check in and check out process is easy and the staff is lovely. The air in the room is a little too dry and too warm for my liking, but I was able to adjust the temperature before going to sleep. Great option if you are going out in the area. Does it worth $300/night?! Provably not…but everything costs an outrageous amount these days and you gotta pay people to run it. I have stayed here twice now and will likely do so again. It is a great option in the Annex neighbourhood!

It was just okay. You get what you pay for. Cleanliness was subpar, the rooms feel like a DIY job of low quality, yet trendy carpentry - think plywood with exposed heads of deck screws throughout the room. Ceiling paint is flaking off in the bathroom. No elevator. I was disturbed while I was sleeping by an attendant knocking repeatedly at my door who needed to replace batteries in my door lock mechanism. The walls have poor sound-proofing, which I attribute to the older building. I could hear a family in the hotel either next door, or beneath me - every single word of their conversation. Furthermore, I could hear footsteps in the hallway all hours, even with my headphones in the vibrations of footsteps could be felt. It’s suitable for a short stay, and if attention to detail and cleanliness doesn’t matter too much.

The Annex was chosen for convenience. I think it is overpriced for what you get. The bed is comfy, the fan for the heat was the loudest I have ever heard(several complaints in past on this). There is no heat in the shower, which also has a toilet - unique. They charged us for someone else bar items, and offered no apology. They did refund that part after an investigation, but expectation would be drinks on them for this inconvenience. I would not recommend, but if you come, bring ear plugs, and don't expect much friendliness from staff. SC
