The room was acceptable but definitely needed a deep clean, and honestly, the entire property is overdue for a full refurbishment. The swimming pool had missing tiles, and some vent covers were loose or completely absent, which felt unsafe. Customer service was another letdown. I tried speaking a little French, but staff were either rude or uninterested. Switching to English didn’t help much either, as the main languages here are French and Wolof. In the end, my wife had to handle all communication because she speaks Wolof. Food and drinks were far from great. It was difficult to get a drink, and when we did, the glasses were tiny—same for the coffee cups. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

A good option. Quite a sprawling area. Decent swimming pool and bar next to the beach. Rooms are a decent size. Food is all inclusive with unlimited buffets. Quiet. Restaurants, cafes and money exchange all near.

Checked in at 3pm but had to wait 45 minutes before I get a room assigned. Room assigned needs to be upgraded Not a lot of choices on the food side either for dinner and breakfast and you basically have to fight with the flies to eat breakfast

Their service used to be good but lately I’ve experienced nothing but disappointment. When they’re busy they tend to focus more on particular guests and don’t pay attention to the others. The room stayed last had a strong smell of pee pee. I also had to wait for two hours after checking in to have my room cleaned.

Good Saly experience

Except for the confusing entrance without any guide at the parking to the reception which is approximately 5-10 minutes walk, it was overally good stay at Royal Saly. Clean pool amd not-too-oily food.
