Clean room but very noisy being right next to the road. I was the only person staying at the property so would have preferred a room set back from the street. Also the wifi was very weak. Free parking was great and room amenities were fine.
Arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and the office was closed. Phoned the Motel, and had to go down the road to another motel and phone again to get a code for the lockbox to retrieve the key, then drive back to the motel we'd booked. The room had broken bits and pieces, lamp plug bent, window in kitchen wouldn't close and needs fixing properly. Switches on the plug in kitchen looked dodgy. You can feel the springs through the mattress. General cleaniless was poor. No facecloths. Parking beside unit. Felt like a ghost town, hardly anyone around. It was cheap and it served a purpose for sleeping instead of driving tired.
Only thing improvement needed is location of picking of the keys was a big issue for us .since we travel whole day from Auckland n expected the key to be kept in a mail box near our lodge not to go n pick from another venue .

The queen bed was broken and checking in and out was very confusing due to lack of communication on what they required for their processes. The room was rough with exposed plaster patch work showing, blinds hanging on for dear life and cupboard doors also broken barely hanging on. There was not tissues or face cloths, just 3 towles and a bath mat. The positives were the size of the room was awesome, felt private and cosy. Heating, tv and wifi all fuctional. For the price it was workable for 1 night stay.

Hard to get hold of staff, fair keeping in mind there are 3-4 lodges run by the same people. Nice rooms comfy beds. Great for the price!

This is quite embarrassing but late afternoon a staff member unlocked and opened the door. I was having an intimate moment with my partner and dont know who was more shocked. Neither of us heard a knock wherher there was one or not i cant say. Wouldnt stop me going back but may be good for them to let ALL staff not to go into a room when occupied
No office on site, had walk down the road to another hotel to get the key. Room was not serviced at all while I was there. No smoke alarm in the unit. Unit was tidy, quiet and quite nice, shame about the rest.
The walls were dirty and we found dirty cups under our bed in the lounge. We gave it one night then decided to leave. Heating did not warm up the room so the rooms are freezing in winter. If the property was cleaned properly and warm enough then it would be all good
Everything catered for our needs. Stayed here a few times. Lady in the office exceeded our needs by allowing us last minute to check in way earlier then allocated time for a fee but that was not a problem as we were in a bunder. So thank you Settlers for your assistance. A++
