Unfortunately, this property is getting mixed reviews. The grounds are really nice and we thought the property was quiet and safe. The problem is we rented a room (casita) for 6 nights. The room would be ok for a night or two but not for 6 nights. The bathroom was very small, carpet frayed, baseboard needed additional paint and there should be more than 1 towel hook for two people. All solvable problems, especially the towel hook. They have newer rooms available and would definitely book one of those the next time.

There was a super cute restaurant on premises we enjoyed aome drinks and food. The door jammed multiple times and lamp cords were frayed due to being really old. Even though the hotel itself was run down, but the quaint environment make up for it.

Excellent property! Would definitely return. Very attractive and comfortable. Nice pool and hot tub and Cielo is a great restaurant for breakfast at the beginning of the day and drinks after.

We stay here regularly when in Tucson. The walled parking area is particularly safe and quiet. Note that because the property consists of a number of individual historic buildings, there are no elevators for second-floor rooms.

Very nice room and furnishings, great staff and service. Very clean and comfortable. Restaurant was good. The area is a bit sketch but property seemed adequately secure and had walls surrounding it, yet we did have gas stolen from our non locking gas tanks each night of our stay.

I love staying at the Lodge on the Desert. It's conveniently located from the airport. It has a nice southwestern feel. It's very clean and the restaurant is very good.
