A Slice of Paradise at Coco Unlimited

From the moment we arrived at Coco Unlimited, we knew we were in for something special. Nestled right on Tulum’s stunning beach, this boutique hotel strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and understated luxury. The atmosphere is dreamy, laid-back, and effortlessly cool — exactly what we were hoping for. Our room was spacious, thoughtfully designed, and just steps away from the ocean. Waking up to the sound of the waves and sipping coffee on our private balcony was pure magic. The staff deserve a huge shoutout — warm, welcoming, and always going the extra mile. Whether it was organizing bikes, dinner reservations, or just making sure we had everything we needed, they made us feel like VIPs every day. The on-site restaurant and bar were also excellent. We enjoyed fresh, flavorful dishes (especially the ceviche!) and some of the best margaritas in Tulum, all with our toes in the sand. Location-wise, you’re in the heart of the hotel zone, surrounded by great beach clubs, restaurants, and boutiques — but Coco still feels like a tranquil escape. If you’re looking for a relaxing, beautiful, and truly authentic Tulum experience, Coco Unlimited is it. We’re already dreaming about our next trip back. Gracias, Coco Unlimited — hasta pronto!

I can't stress enough how much we appreciated our stay at Coco Unlimited. It's beautiful, clean and comfortable. The staff is truly amazing. And most of all it's perfectly located and very quiet compared to a lot of other similar beach hotels in the area where there's always terrible loud music and an endless parade of douchebags and instagram addicts. If I ever go back to Tulum I will definitely stay there again.

Location is great walking distance to Ven a la luz sculpture. Perfect beach front property, depending on tide conditions of course. Loved having room pool front, I will say given that the pool was open until 10pm I don’t quite understand why they started the cleaning at 9pm just when I was planning to go in which impeded us from using it and we were there only one night which kind of sucked, especially with ocean conditions and high winds. Very cute boutique hotel, well worth the price I might add. But it’s definitely a you get what you paid for scenario in Tulum with its prime location.

Tulum is expensive and Coco Unlimited provides a reasonably priced option (including breakfast) in an unbeatable location and the best service I’ve had. At the beginning of the trip, we started communicating with the front desk on What’s App and they were so helpful throughout our time in Tulum. They made us reservations, hooked us up with discounts at local establishments, were very responsive on What’s App as our needs changed, and generally made us feel safe and comfortable on a trip curated to our liking. I can’t eat gluten and my travel partner is a vegetarian. Not only were they accommodating at Coco Unlimited, but they always notified the places we were going about our food restrictions. I will genuinely miss Leslie. I trusted her so unconditionally I got a tattoo from a local artist she recommended. This is not the fanciest hotel but it is clean and beautiful and completely in the Tulum vibe. People who complain about it should pay more and stay in a bougie hotel.

Needs a little TLC

Started a little confusing due to misinformation on payment by Hotels.com but it was handled properly The hotels needs lots of maintenance and rooms need better cleaning. We had a night where bugs were all over the room and had to kill one by one! Overall is good close to shops and restaurants but needs some TLC and fix the sewage smell coming from drains

Hotel is very nice and clean. Stuff is very nice, they waited for us to arrive despite we arrived after 11pm.Comunication with them, from the reservation to the end, was excellent. You have several options for breakfast which was included in price. Water is not potable, they provide potable water in the pitcher (I think this is the issue for all the hotels in area). Room is equipped with AC and the bluetooth loudspeaker, no TV. Generally, our experience was very good, would recommend this hotel

I’d like to give a higher review because all of the staff were awesome. Really friendly and helpful and very responsive. The hotel is in need of a “refresher”. Also the beach doesn’t have enough umbrellas and comfortable beds. There were only 2 “tiki” huts with comfortable chairs. The other coverings were over round beds so not as comfortable when lounging with 2 people. The other recommendation that I’d like to make is having some small rugs or bath mats next to the bed. The floors are concrete so it’s nice to be able to wipe your feet before you get into the bed. The balcony was quite lovely. You can have breakfast delivered to your room if you like. Lots of delicious drinks and I loved the fresh fruit bowl for breakfast.
