If you reserve the king-sized one-bedroom suite with a kitchen that does not offer ocean views, please be aware that the actual room may differ from the photographs. I expressed dissatisfaction with the room because it did not match the description provided in the pictures. The room depicted in the photographs was larger, and the kitchen area was modern, although it was taken at a different location that is not the actual residence of guests. This discrepancy was a significant disappointment for me and the management, who were not responsive to this matter did nothing to resolve the issue. Additionally, be mindful of the unpleasant odor that permeates the resort upon entry. It resembles the stench of boiled, rotten eggs. The source of this odor remains uncertain, but it is possible that it originates from the ocean. On the bright note, the food was okay.

We found the location great. It is secluded and you need a car but for the price you pay, you get a great value. The property sits above the JW Marriott hotel and has beautiful sea views. It is not walk-in distance to the beach but with a car, you can drive to the beach. They helped us rent a car that was delivered to the hotel which made it convenient. They alao have a driver that can pick you up at the boat. The breakfast is the same every day - yogurt, crossaint, juice, coffee ans is available from 8:30 am. The breakfast is delivered to the room. The reception is open 8AM to 8PM and you can pre-coordinate late arrival. There is no restaurant at the facility but you can walk to the JW Marriott for a dinner which is what we did and the restaurant was great. This property feels more like a vacation rental than a hotel. The rooms are huge and clean. The view from the balcony is beautiful. Overall, we would stay here again.

Even-though the property and rooms were well maintained, unfortunately on the deck outside came a mouse on one night and a cockroach on the last night. Overall the staff was non-existent since the property was almost empty. Due to the seaweed infestation and very bad smell the property was uninhabitable outside. The beach was unswimmable. We were ones of unfortunate guest they ended up booking badly. When we called the reception to understand if this would last all week, they replied with an attitude that they can’t determine the weather. The hotel/Expedia should be warning the clients of such conditions as we have paid a lot of money to stay at this resort. We have the expectation that we would be able to sit outside and swim at a beach side resort. We should have been given the opportunity to switch to a different resort. On the last day of check out we had check out at the oyster pond resort since the villa’s reception was not open at 8:00 am. Again with an attitude the reception didn’t even ask how our stay was and not a single thank you was uttered. The entire experience was not good and I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying at either resorts. I expect some kind of refund otherwise I wouldn’t recommend anyone going to St Martin at all.

Our group enjoyed our stay. Beautiful home ,pool and everything could could possibly need for a wonderful vacation. We will definitely stay again.
