The room was good. There is no counter space in the bathroom, and the one glass shelf slanted froward so that stuff slid off. The hotel charged a safe fee with tax that was not disclosed on the total by hotels.com. Even though it was only a couple of dollars, it is kind of annoying, especially since I didn't use the safe. They also charge tax on the parking fee.

The value of this hotel is its proximity on campus. It could use some upgrades to the guest rooms. Bathroom was very small and the door was banged up. Breakfast was just as good as the free breakfast at Holiday Inn Express (which I enjoy). So paying $15 for it was a little annoying. I expected more if I was paying for it. Overall it was nice but could use some upgrades and should rethink the breakfast offerings if they are going to charge for them.

They stuck us in a handicap room in which the shower didn’t drain properly so much of the water drained into the bathroom where there was no drain. Came out of the shower and nearly fell! Had to use our towels to soak up the water every time we used it!

Bring toilet paper and towels—they are too busy

We started with a partial roll of toilet paper. When we ran out, we looked for an extra roll. Nope. We called the front desk on the room phone to request more. No answer, left a message as directed. Waited, used tissues, then called again, same thing, no answer, “leave a message.” An hour later we left for breakfast and stopped by the front desk to relay the issue. They said “when you come back, stop by here and we will give you some.” Hmm, ok. So we did. Got up to the room at 1:10 pm, bed not made, no fresh towels—no back up TP. Left again, came back at 3:30, still hadn’t made bed. I called the front desk and was told “they clean the rooms for the incoming guests and if there is time, they will make up your room.” Hmm. So I asked for towels and TOILET PAPER. At 4:50pm, they knocked and dropped them outside the door. Once you’ve checked in—you’re on your own—zero service.
