The property is good. We had a room with the view of the canal which was great. The way from reception to the building where the room is located stinks. The front desk/ reception staff is extremely rude and unfriendly. We happened to check out a little later than the scheduled check-out time since we got stuck at the water bus station in Venice which was our fault( the water bus can get extremely busy and crowded in spring and summer. We waited almost 2 hours just to catch the water bus to get back to our hotel stop ) But, there was no attempt made by the staff to reach us or let us know that they would send cleaners to our room while we were away. Our bags were packed and all they had to do was to let us know that they would move the bags to storage safely while they can clean the room but we were not asked or Informed and upon our return to the hotel, the receptionist was extremely rude in her behavior. Our room was open with cleaners turning over the room. Our luggage was inside with all our valuables ( camera and cash) All our food was thrown in trash and some of the cash money went missing from the bag. They would not help us move our bags out of the room either. A little hospitality would be nice!

A functional, pleasant business hotel … but a small shower that flooded immediately, giving the bathroom a moody smell; had to cross a dank alley (and once enjoy the spectacle of someone peeing there) to reach our building/room; unnecessarily closes the terrace overlooking Grand Canal at 10; very noisy one night as they moved laundry trolleys around in the alley, in Venice, but far from most things. In the end, better than nothing.

Absolutely fabulous!!!!! we had checked out of a different hotel that We booked with Expedia two days early and came to this property instead. so unfortunately because of Expedia, we double booked and got charged for two nights of hotels at two different locations. This hotel was absolutely fabulous!!!! The staff was great, very accommodating and helpful to tourists. We went from being stressed out to feeling safe, comfortable and also brought some happiness back into our trip! THANK YOU! :)

The hotel staff were very kind and assisted with early check-in to their best ability. The hotel rooms were well insulated from the cold. Location of the hotel is also very convenient with plenty of dining options available. My only qualm with the hotel room is that the shower drain was not able to drain the water quickly enough and shower screen could not close fully. Other than that, I strongly recommend Hotel Continental!
