This place is really good value, location is very convenient, and it has everything you need. Quiet, comfortable bed, shower new and good water pressure, kitchenette with large fridge, parking. We stayed here to go to the Channel Islands National Park and it was very convenient. Restaurants nearby.

Neil was wonderful at check in. Area around the motel was quiet. Room was clean and very nicely updated. BEDS are EXCELLENT. Loved the microwave and empty space we could use in the mini-fridge; SO glad it was not loaded with expensive snacks that we would not eat. Instead, I got to load it with my fave beverages. Oddly, the only clothes rack were over the microwave, making it difficult for a short person to hang and retrieve clothing. Also, the walls were plain next to the sink where two towel racks could go to hang wash cloths etc. Only 3 blocks away is Art's Corner Cafe: AWESMAZING. You will not regret a visit there!!!

As soon as I walked in, I was early staff said no problem will give you an upgrade. Your room was not quite ready. Everything was brand new floors, kitchen bathroom beds. Very friendly very quick quiet.

Location is everything

The exterior of the motel was a bit down trodden but interior was clean and comfortable. I loved the decor very nostalgic The staff was helpful at check in and very friendly Location was perfect for my stay !

Always a gem

We have stayed here multiple times and while it doesn’t look like much from the road it’s a hidden gem. The rooms are spacious and clean, staff is friendly and the location is quiet and convenient for everything we did in the Ventura/Santa Barbara area. Will stay here every time we are in the area.

Very nice room, clean and quiet space. Nice staff. The only thing I didn't like was the phone call to my room phone around 10:55am asking me "Are you going to check out??" I told them yes, and told them I would be leaving in 5 minutes. I felt rushed out. 8/10 rating.

Tho there was jackhammer noises coming from the front of the property, we were happily moved to the back opposite corner and it was perfect. Quiet, comfortable, close to everything we wanted to do on our escape. Once the renovations are complete and there is no construction, this property is a great place to get away!

Clean, comfortable stay at the Crystal Lodge Motel

Had a king and they upgraded us to 2 beds at no charge. Check-in was quick and efficient. The beds were comfortable and the room was recently renovated with new fixtures. Ask for a room in the back, the street noise in the front eventually died down after 10PM

Staying for a night. Don’t expect sleep. The owners have little kids and they live on property. The baby cried all night. Bed sinks in the middle. Worst sleep ever. Parking lot is horrible. Only one entrance that u have to back up to get out because the other exit gets blocked by the last parking spot. For $160 a night I would expect a little better.
