Welcome to The Mavie House! We’ve had the pleasure of hosting an array of guests from Baylor University families and students to Magnolia visitors, work crews, wedding groups, girls’ trips, and more. Unlike many properties, we’re just one block from THREE Magnolia Fixer Upper homes, perfect for an evening stroll! We’re also less than 10 minutes from Baylor and just over 2 miles from the Magnolia Market at the Silos and downtown Waco.

Our spacious home comfortably accommodates larger groups with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, making it ideal for couples, families, or a girls’ getaway. Waco offers something for everyone scenic river walks, hiking at Cameron Park, lake days, and plenty of shopping.

Full of character, comfort, and charm, this newly renovated historic home is designed for relaxation and fun.

Conveniently located near main roads, you can reach downtown in minutes with an easy two-street drive. The home feels both fresh and cozy, and includes WiFi and a smart TV for your entertainment.

The 4 of us on a girl’s trip each had our own room. It was very easy to communicate with the host. The living and dining areas were roomy enough for conversation and games. The kitchen was well stocked. I have back problems so some of the beds were too soft. The twin beds were hard. The showers were slick and could use mats. However, we were very pleased overall and will stay there again in the future.

The house was both, spacious and cozy. Beds were comfortable, heating and cooling were both on point. (That’s important when the mornings starts at 60 degrees and it’s 80 degrees by lunch). Loved the decor, loved the location- no complaints. I was also pleasantly surprised to find seasonings for cooking already stocked,yay! Did I mention the front porch and backyard? Perfect for my family. I had a great stay!

The house was very clean, not cluttered, calming, comfortable, decorations were perfect and the right amount--cute little touches. They use eco friendly hand soap, dish washing liquid , Myers, hair care and body wash. The hair dryers worked great as did the coffee pot, stove and tea kettle. The AC worked perfectly. The house is centrally located, in a good location and we didn't have any issues. The host, Phylisia, was very responsive and easy to work with as was VRBO. We would definitely stay there again. TY.

The overall place is nicely appointed. The climate control was great, but the house needs some work. The floor tiles slide in multiple places when you walk and my son slipped and fell to the floor, the dishwasher is not secure in it's spot, the bathroom with tub didn't drain, the master bath right sink didn't have hot water (warm) and plumbed on the wrong side. The pans and dishes were dirty. The property manager was responsive and willing to work on the items but we held off since we didn't want the disruption due to our sons wedding. Once we checked out, the property manager told us a ceramic figurine was broken (we didn't break it) and she would charge us 15 and then said never mind. Location was okay.

Sisters reunion

Our stay was for 5 sisters ages 69-82 and 2 spouses. We come from New York State, Minnesota and Texas. So Waco was a good spot to meet. And there was the attraction of the Magnolia Market/Silos. The "cottage" fit us well. The living room had comfortable seating for everyone. Perfect as much of our time was spent talking and visiting. Plenty of bathrooms.....comfortable beds and central air conditioning! This was important as temperatures outside were unusually high for the time of year. Overall, the house deserves a high rating.

Pleasant Enough I Guess

We had a fairly pleasant stay . 2 things were wrong about the listing. 1. A comment said the neighborhood wasnt good. It was fine 2. The listing said Magnolia Silos was 2 Streets took over 20min by car to The house was in great shape very comfortable except the beds. One family member had to sleep on the coach because the bed was so hard. Some bedroom doors would not latch.

Cozy and clean!

We loved staying here. Everything was clean and well stocked. I always bring extras (toilet paper, dishwasher pods, etc) and didn't need any of it! The host was easily accessible and the keypad lock made check in a breeze. We would stay again.
