Places to Visit During Your Stay
Waldport is just two miles to the south via Highway 101. There you will find several dining options, necessities, and more. Head over to the Crestview Golf Club and get in a round of golf, or grab a bite to eat at the Greenside Restaurant. The Cape Perpetua Visitor Center is 13 miles to the south, where you can do a little hiking and take in the spectacular views of the coastline.

No “welcome book” made it challenging to access needed information in a timely manner. Highly suggest adding this feature to the house to provide codes, directions for appliances, and information about the house in one location.All doors were sticky/buckled so they made loud noises when opening & closing between rooms, especially the side door to access the hot tub.No towels designated for the hot tub.No window shade above the kitchen sink made the entire kitchen too warm/too bright to use when there was direct sunlight.Pillows provided in both downstairs bedrooms were flat and uncomfortable. Master bedroom’s wrought iron bed frame was very squeaky and that made it difficult to get comfortable without waking others.Provided coffee filters were the wrong size for the provided coffee maker. Suggest listing that as an item for guests to purchase for their stay or provide the correct filters as an amenity for the stay, given the investment of the listed rental fee.

A perfect beach home! We will definitely stay here again! The home was lovely and extremely well appointed. The beach access from the home was great for us, and our older family members used the flat path just steps away. The beach is secluded and perfect!!!! We loved the hot tub, ping pong table, and especially the open spacious great room. The home has some really special upgrades, wonderful linens, new appliances, and a well stocked kitchen. The view of the dunes and ocean was great. A huge shout out to Chastity with the local management for her help, making it an amazing stay. We’ve stayed in many, many beach houses and have never experienced the service that she provided. Thank you for a very special Thanksgiving. We’ll be back!

House needs a deep cleaning. On the surface it was clean (bedding, bathrooms, etc.) Accidentally got a hand between the sofa cushions…filthy. Our plate stuck to the dinner table. The setup is perfect for 3 couples. I reviewed this property yesterday before I realized one of the husbands left his full salmon filet caught the day before in the garage refrigerator. His wife messaged Vacasa as soon as they got home and realized it was left behind. She got a standard message stating they would contact the local company and asked for her name, phone number, what was left and shipping address. She told them she would pick it up (we’re 1.5 hours away) and not to ship it. Meanwhile my son is 30 minutes away and willing to pick it up but after 4 hours, he needed to get back home. 6 hours later after reaching out, still no word so I reached out. I got the exact same response…name, number, item and address to ship it to. I asked…”so in the 6 hours since first reaching out to you this has not been looked into by the local team?” I was told “…the local team hasn’t responded yet in regards to the fish; no one will move the fish. When the local team gives further details to proceed those will be provided to you.” I called the customer service # this morning to see what time I could pick up the salmon and was told the cleaning team “threw it away” yesterday. Our fault for forgetting it but dealing with customer service…awful. Thank goodness we didn’t forget important medication

Beautiful home

This is a beautiful home. The master bedroom is a sweet retreat. And, the hot tub was a dream at sunset. The ocean views are minimal due to the sand dunes, and beach access is down a steep sandy decline. This would not be safe for people with any form of limited mobility.

Home Away from Home

We (three friends) had a wonderful stay at Dolphin Dunes. The home was very comfortable - great beds, abundant towels, well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the hot tub and the ping pong table, watching whales spout from the top of the dunes, walking the beach (be aware it's a challenging climb to get down and up), and exploring the beauty of the larger region. Dolphin Dunes provided a peaceful space to recharge at the end of each day while watching the sunset.

Nice location, extremely poor cleaning house in need of repairs

Really wanted to love this house.This house needs some maintenace and definitely needs cleaned. The rugs are dirty and stained and they clearly were not vacuumed. There was a dirty bandaid in the middle of the living room floorThere was food and crumbs all over the floors, the dining table and chairs were dirty and rickety, there crumbs and food in the window sills. The dishwasher falls forward when the door is open because it is not mounted, the refrigerator in the kitchen was not only dirty upon our arrival but was not cold, it took nearly 2 days before it was cold. There is a second fridge in the garage, however, it was filthy and most of the shelving is broken. The dishes in the cupboards were dirty, I am not talking about a few spots, there was food all over them I had to wash dishes before we could use them.. I pulled back the blankets in the primary bedroom to find the sheets were dirty, covered in crumbs and had long black hair stuck to the pillow cases, I found extra sheets in the closet but they were also dirty, I couldn't wash them either because there wasn't any laundry soap. The hot tub is nice, but there is no privacy, it can be seen from the street and the kitchen and living windows of the neighbor g home looks right at it as well, made it very hard to enjoy a relaxing soak with random strangers staring at you.I spent the first two hours at this house cleaning

Beautiful beach front house

This was a lovely place to stay! Great location and wonderful house. We enjoyed the lights in the bathroom, the big windows with the view, the hot tub, and the beach. The beach access is very steep but our kids enjoyed sliding down to the beach. We would definitely recommend this place!!

Perfect!

This was the perfect house for our long weekend away. So incredibly clean that it felt like everything was brand new. The huge windows let in so much light, even when it was stormy. Everything was as described. The ping pong table really got some action and kept the kids well entertained. And when they needed a minute to catch their breath we broke out all the games and had great laughs. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely rent again!

Sweet beach spot

The house is wonderful, with 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, a downstairs garage with a pool table and bbq’s, side door access to the back porch seating area and hot tub, and a personal path to the beach! We stayed for the weekend and didn’t even leave the property, it was so relaxing. Super clean and well stocked with towels, blankets, pillows, and kitchen supplies.

A nice house and good location, but difficultT

The house was beautiful and clean and a good location and mostly as described. Several in the group enjoyed the short and somewhat steep hike over a couple of dunes to the beach frequently, although it was disappointingly too steep for my elderly parents to do, which was why we had chosen this place, thinking they could walk to the beach. There is a public access beach a couple of doors down at the Club, though, that is easier access, with handicapped parking near the beach trail. The house was well supplied with everything we needed and the beds were comfortable (except for the hide-a-bed, which is actually in the master bedroom, not the upstairs bedroom as stated in the listing). Due to the open floor plan, high ceilings and hard surface floors, it can get quite noisy with a houseful of young kids, making it somewhat hard to hear if anyone is hearing-impaired. I might stay here again if our group were configured differently. The hot tub was a definite plus and we used and enjoyed it a lot (although we never could figure out how to turn the jets off). Note: you have to download the Vacasa app in order to find the code to access the hot tub, which it looks like maybe some previous renters didn’t figure out. Like others, we found that emailing the rental company often did not get us a response for weeks, which was frustrating both as we tried to prepare for the trip ahead of time as well as while we were there. If you have any questions while you’re there a phone call might be better, although it seems like that is only available weekdays and during business hours. I noticed they have added a blind over the window in the master bedroom that others had complained about the neighbors’ light shining in, which was nice. It rained most of the days we were there, and we enjoyed the pellet stove in the evenings. On a sunny day, you want to keep the blinds closed so it doesn’t get too hot inside, but with the windows open it does cool down nicely at night. A couple of fans would have been really welcome on the warmer days, especially in the upstairs bedroom, which got quite warm. There were several bikes in the garage as well as several kites, and a very useful second refrigerator. We bought and left some more kites and some sand toys for the next renters to use. Overall, a good experience.

It was lovely. One major glitch for us though was assuming sofa bed would be in the main area. The fact that it is in master bed room was a complication for us regarding sleeping privacy issues. Otherwise house was pretty perfect.

We will stay again

We really enjoyed our stay and will make this our go to when visiting the coast. The only bummers were: 1. None of the showers worked 2. The hot tub had not been cleaned 3. It gets really warm in the house so some fans to circulate the air would have been nice. Next time we will bring our own just in case. 4. The house smelled of cooked crab and the smell of the bedding was odd. We opened all the windows , sprayed Lysol, and eventually sprayed fabreze but the smell stayed. 5. The beds were too firm for us but that is a hard one because everyone likes different types of firmness. It was really nice sitting outside in the morning drinking my coffee and listening to waves and seagulls. It was a much needed break, 2 days wasn’t enough time though. Thanks for the great time at Dolphin Dunes!
