We were in DC to celebrate my 78 yr old mother and my 13 year old daughter birthday. I booked a 2 bedroom room. My first concern when we entered the room was the bathrooms both bathrooms have tubs when have about 2.5 ft clearance in order for you to use. From the pictures online you cannot see that( at least when I viewed it from my phone.)This bathtub clearance was a problem for my mother and my daughter who has CP. I am sure the hotel has accessible room but I think this is important for others to know when booking this hotel. On a positive, as others have shared the rooms are very clean.The other concern we had while there is hot water. If anyone took a shower everyone else who took a shower after that received cold water. When we complained at the front desk they told us we had to wait 15 minutes between any activity with water for the hot water to reset. (Showers, dishwasher, washing machine). We did not use the dishwasher or washing machine but having to space out our shower is ridiculous. This meant I took cold showers for 2 of the 3 nights I was there. Very disappointing.The location is nice if you want to see the White House. We did pay for parking which 69 tax… parking is very tight! Staff was helpful and friendly but housekeeping could not provide additional bags for trash. I would not book again due bathtub clearance,hot water issues, mold in coffee maker, broken ice tray, no blackout curtains and housekeeping never cleaned the room.

Great stay

Enjoyed my stay for the week. Spacious, with great amenities. Having a kitchenette to cook my meals is essential, considering the restaurants around the area is rather expensive. Definitely recommend and will revisit.

Amazing value and service

This place is unreal for the price. It’s a full 1-Bedroom apartment, not a hotel room. And it’s right by the White House. Perfect location for fun couples trip to DC. We’d definitely go back.

Our suite was very nice and spacious in a great DC location. My only complaint would be the continuing emails from the AKA group despite my repeated efforts to unsubscribe. I have never had this issue before with any of the numerous hotels that I have booked on Expedia.

The AKA White House was in the perfect location! Two blocks from the White House and all associated attractions. Lots of food options within 2 blocks in any direction. Only one block from subway access. We easily saw all of DC via public transportation. No car; No problem! Staff were helpful and friendly. Building was clean with excellent amenities. Our apartment was spacious and well appointed. I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to the DC area.

Barely any hot water! Unfortunately, only one of the three of us could take a short shower before the hot water ran out. Management was aware of the problem, came and reset the water heater, and nothing changed. We checked out a day early (still had to pay for that night.)

Fabulous stay

Loved loved loved this apartment hotel. Clean, quiet, modern, handy to the Whitehouse end of the tourist area. Appreciated the laundry in the apartment and all the on-request consumables. The hotel has a lovely bar but no cafe or food. However virtually next door is a great place for coffee and food. My only suggestion for improvement is a bigger and better couch.

Individual suits. Small hot water tank, showers were not hot. Customer service ok. No housekeeping and if you need fresh towels, you need to go down to the front desk. Toilet paper too. No restaurant on property. It was ok. Don’t think I would go back.

Terrible Shower

The room was spacious and well equipped. The big problem: the shower. Very light flow and the water was never more than lukewarm. The mirrors in the bathroom never steamed up. Another problem: Despite raising the thermostat temperature, the room was cold and drafty. Finally, there is a bar, but no restaurant that we could find.
