When I arrived at the hotel, I had already been transferred to another hotel. The woman at the front desk said she had emailed me that morning, but I couldn't find the email in any of my email folders. New York that day was extremely cold, and my trip would have been much more pleasant if I had known about the transfer to another hotel beforehand. In situations like this, they should use an app or send a text message to my iPhone.

The desk staff were probably the best of any hotel I've ever been at. We had some issue with noisy children in the adjoining room on our first night and I called down and the person at the desk took care of it and the noise stopped minutes later. When it started again in the morning I went down to the front desk and without question, and a gracious smile, we were offered a new room that was quite quiet. For the price, this was a great stay. For triple the price, I would have wanted a hotel that had more sound proof rooms, a smart TV, and a working pool (it was out of order). Otherwise, everything else was great.
