When I arrived I was told they sold out of the room I had paid for weeks prior when making the reservation. They gave me a King Bed room for 3 adult guests. I was supposed to have a King Suite. I used Expedia so the front desk person told me they could NOT help me since I used a third-party to book the room. She offered me extra blankets for my guest to sleep on the floor! I HAD to check in since my daughter had a dance competition and was scheduled to dance in a couple of hours and had to get ready. Since I checked in, Expedia would not help,and stated it was the hotel's issue now. The hotel stated it was Expedia's issue. The manager was "off duty" and the front desk person was unable to do anything to remedy the situation. I have always had great experiences with Hilton properties until this weekend! I have also always used and had great experiences with Expedia until this weekend! No one wanted to take responsibility for the fact that I PAID for a room I was not given and both parties were just satisfied that I had a room...a room that entailed one of my guests having to sleep on the floor! Horrible customer service with both Hampton Inn and Expedia!
