The property is well maintained and comfortable - maybe a bit out of date, but still in good shape. The lobby is comfortable and spacious. Service was friendly and helpful. The grounds are very pretty, secluded, and quiet. Our dogs found plenty of smells while walking around and it is large enough to steer clear of other dogs. There are plenty of onsite amenities, though it was winter so we did not use them. The one downside was the breakfast. The food was not flavorful and the selection was meager. On our last day, all the food ran out with another hour of breakfast to go.

The room was as pictured. Pillows are too soft and I would recommend bringing your own. No big complaints, but the breakfast offered is sub-par compared to chain hotels. No meat, just egg patties and toast or danishes. The fireplace and main area provide a nice ambiance, especially in the winter. The coffee maker in my room was not clean and the fridge was set on the least “cold” setting so we had to adjust a few things during our stay. Not big deals though.

Room was clean and spacious, nice and friendly staff. Area is beautiful, convenient shuttle to move around. The reason of 3 stars is the mattress on the sofa bed was paper thin and springs to hold the mattress were broken. Since we paid for a suite and sleeping on a comfortable mattress is one of the most important features in a hotel, they should really spend some money on a decent mattress. The mattress on the king bed was ok, not the most comfortable but not too bad. We told the receptionist and all they did was to add a very thin pad on top, not satisfactory.

We had a good overall experience with our stay. The staff were courteous and helpful. The room was clean. We appreciate having gluten free items available for breakfast. But the Wi-Fi was spotty in our bedroom.

The room was spotless. Use towels were changed daily. Everyone on the staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and offered variety. So glad to see lactose free milk available. Consider adding a magazine alternative for butter
