Great location to walk to Colonial Williamsburg. Overall a great place to stay. Only complaint was that the towels and bed sheets smelled bad. Other than that it was great

We stayed here for 5 nights and it couldn’t have been more convenient to Colonial Williamsburg (walking distance). It’s very family friendly with the pool and splash pad open until 10pm, laundry facilities, free continental breakfast and free parking. We stayed in a king suite which was an enormous and comfortable room with a separate living room with sofa bed, two TVs, divided by a kitchenette area with a microwave and a refrigerator. It was only 9 minutes to Busch Gardens and we would stay here again and again if in this area.

We love this hotel because it’s safe, family friendly, quiet, and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the towels are really nice. Our family loves the splash pad and convenience to Colonial Williamsburg.

Weather was beautiful. Loved the Mini golf course! The girl at check in was friendly, funny and helpful. The hot water was not hot. The breakfast, while appreciated, there was no meat to go with cheese omelet.

Good location, rooms were clean and overall I like the property. However it can really use some updating. The property has clearly not had a renovation in 10+ years. The TVs are tiny, the furniture is really outdated and the bathroom could use new faucets and shower head. It feels like the whole area is not being well maintained, weather that is due to the reduction in traffic in the area or the city's lack of funds (since the hotel is part of the visitor center lot) is unknown. Also, put a fitted sheet on the mattress. Instead they used just a flat sheet and it wasn't big enough to tuck into the mattress. All that being said, we will return to them in the future but hopefully one day they will complete some updates

Best place to stay while visiting Williamsburg

Very comfortable and quiet suite with king size bed right next door to the historic town. Good rates. So-so breakfast but still respectable. Charging spot for your EV but bring your own lockable charging cable.

We stayed at the Woodlands Hotel and Suites in Williamsburg, VA, and unfortunately, it was a letdown from the start. Upon check-in, we were told we needed to put a card on file--which was expected--but then were informed of a $130 hold being placed on it. This was never mentioned during booking, and our room had already been paid in full. Once we got to our room (after needing our key cards reactivated three separate times), we discovered the AC was barely working. I reported it to the front desk and was told to "wait until night" to see if it improved. It didn't. The pull-out couch was incredibly uncomfortable--thin padding with metal bars digging into your back all night. We also had to call maintenance because the toilet wouldn't flush. Turns out, it needed to be rebuilt. WiFi was another issue. It only worked if you were standing right by the door. Anywhere else in the room? Zero signal. While the staff were friendly and the pool was nice, the splash pad area was shut down for the first day and a half of our stay. Everything around the resort felt like it was "off-season" despite being the middle of summer. The putt-putt course was completely unmanaged, several buildings on the property were visibly falling apart, and the onsite restaurant was closed. Breakfast was underwhelming and overcrowded. It seemed like anyone could just walk in and eat--even people not staying at the hotel--which added to the chaos.
