false advertising

basicly to not bore you keys for front door and room stuffed in an unlocked safe box with combination. no dreakfast though says on dite it is available no running hot water in sink to was hands after using loo no plug for bath tub was told we cant use baths . park close to road as if you park further in you wont get out in morning without waking up rooms to move car . only booked hotel in first place because it had a bath and was close to town.

Let’s just say it’s a good job we didn’t take the cat, because we couldn’t have swung it round. Compact is the term I would use, like a caravan.

Close to amenities Great bed fab sleep . Room very clean but a bit attention to detail needed as not like on photos . Paint on wall paper and no plug in the bath which is oversized for area and door bumped bath every time went to toilet but shower available . Bit of a chew on going out to get breakfast on a morning as don't provide any . A top up of milk for morning tea would of been appreciated .

The white lodge hotel

This was my first time in the lake. The Hotel was in a great location loads to do ideal if you struggle walking up hills. It was clean and comfortable and car park access was good. They had a kettle with coffee and tea which is always nice. The people who owned it were lovely and the price was fantastic.

We booked a standard double room but on arrival it was clear the room was tiny. There was little room for manoeuvrability. The shower tray filled up mid shower so we had to stop the shower until the water had drained. There was a couple of other little niggles which just made the stay rather disappointing . The hosts and location was great but when paying £100 I would expect a better room .

Not clean no heating just a small electric fire it was minus 2 and freezing in the room bed linen did not look clean and a very very thin quilt cover how this place could be 4 stars is a joke were not offered breakfast and customer service was none existant no water no suger sanitary towel box empty i would rate this establishment 2 stars we paid £100 for this worth £50 at most

Lovely hotel and lovely friendly owners who even greeted us on arrival . Lovely location however felt the place itself was a bit tired looking …. No nice toiletries and all the coffee sachets had sugar in . We couldn’t see the stunning view due to excess condensation to the inside of the window. There was no bath plug either .

Amazing place

The room was amazing, super comfortable and had all amenities. The owners were extremely nice and accommodating of additional requests (we wanted to keep our bags at the hotel after checkout for a few hours) and they arranged everything. The location was great, with buses running from in front of the hotel and a row of restaurants right down the road. The lake is within walking distance as well. Will definitely return :)

Just enough for one night

One night stay, did the job, though room 6 is very small, any longer stay and you’ll struggle without a wardrobe - will keep an eye on the lodge extension next door though
