Flooded bathroom floor reported to reception, only a thank you for informing them, flooded again throughout the night, floor soaking , spa out of order without notifying us to give the option to cancel or amend the booking . No breakfast staff about had to wait ages to be seated.

Couldnt have breakfast as it was far too crowded the que was out of the door and that was just to be seated. We went to the bar to order our food and got told someone would come over in a minute, we waited 1 hour to be asked our order after continuosly asking.

Food took 90 minutes not come and was pathetic could size portions and massively overpriced. Terrible customer service and not allowed to use the pool on the day we were leaving , also reduced opening hours on the day we arrived .

Beautiful setting, lovely walks around the site. The rooms are in desperate need of updating. The pool area was nice however the pool was FREEZING!!! Service first evening in the bar was terrible, very short staffed and hours wait for food. Second evening in the restaurant was calm, pleasant atmosphere, gorgeous food and lovely staff!

A clearly beautiful hotel that has been allowed to decline. The spa was cold (and we couldn’t get in initially as it was oversubscribed). More of a sash pool for kids than a relaxing spa. Noisy cleaners in the halls at 0800. Inattentive bar staff. Price was cheap, so not overly upset. Just won’t be visiting again.

We stayed in a suite which cost a lot more, it turned out that it was directly above the restaurant so there was music playing until midnight and started again at 7am, to be fair we mentioned it and were moved the next day. The staff are all very friendly and helpful but the food wasn’t great, we ordered a starter and a main and the main arrived fort they took it back but re heated it when needed

This hotel has progressively rundown over the years. They obviously don’t employ chefs anymore as none of the food is edible and it’s obviously brought in food reheated. I ordered the loaded nachos which looked like someone had opened a packet put them in a bowl and drop some sour cream and guacamole on the side no flare no imagination All the other food I tried was blue power the breakfast our team is extremely poor for a hotel pretending to be a four star hotel, they need to invest in a proper food and beverage manager and going back to trying to win local clientele. What’s sad about this hotel is that it’s in the most fabulous settings but let down by a lack of vision and poor leadership.

I had such a relaxing time at Slaley Hall. My humans have brought me here twice, the staff are really pleased to see me and make a big fuss if me, which I love. Our suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. I had my own bed but the bed in the room looked very comfortable. The snacks I had were delicious, as was the food my humans ate, I heard them talking about how much they enjoyed their meals. Please could you fix the taps on the bath as every time they walked across the room they rattled against the bath and it woke me up. I’m looking forward to going back From Jasper 🐾🐾🐾
