The staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic. The room looked great ( king spa chalet room 229). The accommodation was extremely disappointing, the pungent aroma of mould from wet skirting boards was overwhelming. We spoke to the staff and were moved to a different room which was no where near what we had booked, double bed and small tv. We were told that this room (229)had only just been listed again after being closed due to the damage and obviously hadn’t been checked between. For the price we paid even more disappointing. The room we were put in has cobwebs throughout and moldy shower curtains and dripping taps. There wasn’t any dishwashing liquid which spoke with staff about, they got housekeeping to attend to this. Housekeeping didn’t know what a dishcloth was, after explaining what was needed further they asked to refill the container (there wasn’t one). The staff did offer some drinks to apologize. The two star rating is purely due to the amazing staff who shouldn’t be having to deal with so many complaints due to the poor and dangerous condition of the room, these staff are also being exposed to the mould any time they enter the room, airing it out will not fix it.
