Hotel is pretty run down. Surprisingly poor condition for the price. Also was not aware that breakfast was extra. Shuttle took about 10 minutes and the driver was also the front desk clerk so the hotel is under staffed.

Room clean, showing some age. Thank goodness we had a king size bed cause the mattress on one side was so worn and sunk in my husband had to sleep in the middle of the bed. The bar area was nice, only one lady working and she did a good job under the circumstances. Using their shuttle to airport is main reason we stay here, always helpful.

We tried several different beers from the bar, they were all skunky, either old or had been exposed to severe heat. We had tap and bottle, both were terrible. The hotel is on the older side and could do with an update. Homeless come in the morning for the free coffee, they would have coarse pester any one outside smoking for a cigarette. It’s not in best of locations but didn’t feel unsafe.

Out for the Talladega race. This was close to airport and very convenient. The people were great. super helpful and friendly staff. The room was aged at best. Carpet was filth appearing, and the room chair appeared dirt as well, but just old and very used. It is time for a full update. The bed and bathroom were nice. Bead was clean and Bathroom looked like it had been recently updated. Elevators made me question my stay as well. very worn. Lobby furniture was so low to the ground it was hard to get out of. no legs on any of the couched in lobby.

When we arrived there was a noone at the desk. A non employee said she would be back shortly. While we waited three more groups showed up. Someone from the bar/restaurant area came by and said "she knows shes not supposed to leave the desk". We get checked in and I had to leave an additional card on file. Then she asked me if I would be charging my drink to the room. The drink I carried in and she would have seen had she been at the counter. When I said no she seemed to think I was being dishonest. The room across from us was a hotel room that was being used as a storage room because when we went to leave in the morning we couldn't get out because all the house keeping carts were blocking the way. The room was ok.... There were bugs in the bathroom and the wall mounted toiletries were on the side of the tube with busted lids. Would not stay again especially for this price. When I went to check out I could not have a receipt because "I would have to wait till the last that knows how to do that comes back". Not sure if they are asking front staff to also be the airport shuttle but maybe ask the person that can't do the bills to drive.

Room wasnt great. Curtains broken, for some reason had a bunk bed in it along with the king so definitely crowded. Only spending the night or would have switched rooms or hotels.
