The desk manager was very helpful in giving me information about a claim that I have. I booked and canceled a reservation at another Bastion hotel. When I discovered that it was the wrong hotel I canceled and made this reservation. Expedia told me that the hotel had a policy of no refunds - not true. Bastion never received any money and showed me that Expedia are the ones keeping my money. I would like a refund from Expedia as soon as possible.

The room was nice and big enough. The mattress was way too soft. Some lights in the room didn't work. The main outlet was behind the bed right in the middle which seemed really dangerous.

Hallways were dark. Staff was not exactly friendly. Not rude, but not very accommodating. Room was quiet. Door to bathroom was self closing and unable to be propped open, which left it poorly ventilated. Bed was comfortable. Curtains enabled room to be completely dark. Espresso maker with two free pods was a nice plus. Mini fridge was also nice to have.

Relatively inexpensive. Great value. Excellent location only a few miles from Schiphol airport. Also includes a very convenient shuttle bus that runs every half hour to and from the airport - making it easy to get back to the airport within a few minutes and then catch the trains. A very nice bar and dinner restaurant.

Great hotel we will return for many more times.

As this was not my first stay this hotel, it will certainly not the last. First and foremost, employees who are working for this hotel are ALL great. They responded promptly and accurately, and most of all, they responded as if the request was easy (which sometimes were not). Frequent shuttle bus service to and from the hotel was truly welcomed. Room was overall great and a small refrigerator gave us an opportunity to stock whatever we may want for breakfast etc. If I am allowed to say so, there were a few minor "shortfalls" which I would like to mention. 1. Room was too dark at night. Additional light stand would be great. 2. Shower/Bath room was absolutely no ventilation (i.e. no circling air); thus, it was always damp due to high humidity. Plus, as there were not enough wall hooks, it always created a challenge where to put (old & new) clothes & bath towel whenever we got shower. 3. Bed was a soft side. Not too soft to cause a back pain though. Nonetheless, it was overall a superb stay and we sincerely appreciated by the tangible effort from the people who work this hotel. Thank you very much once again.
