Grrat place to stay and the area is lovely, full of restautrants and bars.Very friendly area and good transport with tram right outside Recommend the mexican restaurant over the bridge on thre right 🙂

This hotel is central to everything within the city. The train station is a 5-minute walk away. Benny was a great host and offered great recommendations. Definitely will stay here again.

The room was small but clean which is the main thing. A re jig in the room so there could be more hanging space or drawers would be good as we left out clothes in the suitcase.

Not worth the hassle

Well...we had to climb two flights of stairs with heavy checked baggage - there was no mention of the lack of an elevator. We were greeted by a friendly front desk attendant, but when we needed help from the front desk (2x) there was no one there. NOTE: every time we did meet someone that worked there, they were very friendly and kind. The room was very small for two people abs two pieces of luggage. The bathroom was tiny. Hard to sit on the toilet, as the wall hits your knees when you do sit down. The view was into an alley where drunken tourists were loud throughout the night as late at 430am. Our light fixture on the ceiling would move when people above us were loud and stomping. Front desk attendants entered our room even after we said we did not want any entry. Convenient location tho. And very affordable for Amsterdam, But not worth the hassle.

Excellent location. Everything was in easy walking distance. Tram stop right outside. Small Spar shop opposite. Thin walls. My window looked out a roof. Tea/coffee available in reception but I couldn’t find milk. Overall it was great but be aware of the city tax.

Absolute nightmare. DO NOT STAY HERE! I don't even know where to begin. Upon arrival you have to ring a door bell which didn't work. Luckily somebody just left the hotel and opened the door for us. Then your looking at this massive steep staircase and you have to haul your suitcases up. The front desk is barely a front desk. When we got the key to our room I was about to leave the entire property. We could barely fit our two suitcases inside the room. There is no closet or anything at all to put your clothes. You have to leave it in your suitcase. We had to move our bed in order to get into the bed with the suitcases in the room. We were here in April and it was very cold the first night. The heater was not working and the front desk guy had plug in heaters. I had to sleep with my sweat suit on to keep warm. Later on at night we wanted to watch tv just to find out that there was no remote. I then went to get one from the front desk for their tv. Well, an hour into watching tv the power went off for a few hours. Next morning,, went to take a shower. The bathroom was so small you can barely turn around in it. We're not even close to being heavy people at all and we couldn't turn around. The thing the kicked me finally off the edge was the shower. Absolutely no water pressure at all. I struggled so much taking a shower. This is NOT a hotel. Maybe a hostel. The noise from the other guests when they come and go slamming doors in the middle of the night woke me up every night.

So conveniently placed right opposite the metro and from the offset the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our twin room was bright clean and and had a huge shower. Just minute's walks away from many attractions and plenty of restaurants. Highly recommended hotel but its not for the weak kneed as a lot of stairs to climb but other than that a lovely stay.

I was extremely happy with my stay at Hotel Pagi. Its a straight line walk from the station, close to the centre of town and a short walk from anywhere you'll want to go. The staff are wonderful! They'll help you with any questions you have and do anything to help make your stay easy and memorable. The rooms are well kept and clean with good service, the only issue some may face is the stairs up to the rooms, not a problem for the young and spritely. Overall, a great value for money, will definitely be returning.

We had a great stay at this hotel and found it to be excellent value for money. The location is super central, making it easy to walk everywhere, which was a huge plus. The hotel was clean and well-maintained overall. Both the room and bathroom were small, but for a short trip, that wasn’t an issue - especially since we spent most of our time exploring the city. There was a slight stuffy smell in the room and bathroom. I’d rate cleanliness around 4/5, which is reasonable for the price. We visited in winter and the heating worked perfectly, keeping the room warm and comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and even when they weren’t around at night, getting into the building was very simple. Also free tea and coffee machine! Overall, I’d stay here again for a short visit to Amsterdam. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it’s perfect if you’re looking for a clean, affordable, and well-located place to stay while making the most of the city!
