Great boutique style hotel in a lovely part of Amsterdam. Staff super friendly, lovely location and overlooking a canal. They dont have a restaurant onsite (breakfast is available though) but we were given a list of recommended restaurants nearby which we used and all were amazing. Would definitely come back/recommend.

Great staff who was very helpful with recommendations and bookings. Great neighbourhood close walk from Central Station, but away from the super crazy tourist area. Stayed in the ground floor unit facing the Canal which was nice. The rooms definitely needs do some renovations to help modernize it. That would be my only constructive criticism.

Loved this location, hotel, room and staff. Bar was lively for a nightcap. Being a historical I knew the room would be tight. It was beautiful with canal view. Only thing to be aware of is bathroom is so small a larger person would struggle, also the shower drain and design allows water to flood the bathroom. If you put towels town and are careful, you can avoid the inches of water on the floor.

We didn’t expect to live this hotel, but the people were so friendly that we didn’t want to leave. The lobby/bar has a very fun vibe, delicious coffee, drinks, and a light menu. Beds were comfy, and everything was super clean!

The staff was very nice and the property is in an amazing location. However, we were a bit disappointed with the room. The blanket on the bed and some towels were stained. There was a strong perfume smell that was obviously covering a bad smell. Sure enough, a day in, our room smelt like sewage.

My husband and I reserved the honeymoon suite and wow was it cool. A round room with a large tub with water jets, led lights that surround the tub and bed. Bed was a large king size and also round. The room had a great view of the bustling street facing the Vatican church entrance. Although it was a busy street we closed the windows and it was remarkably very quiet. The bathroom had a glass shower that had a view of the bedroom and inside of the bathroom. It was also the only hotel we stayed in that had a bidet. The room had robes and slippers for us both to use. It was nice to soak and relax in the tub after walking all day. My only wish was that the water got hotter. It was warm but I really like hot water. Paul who worked the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful when suggesting things to do and see in the city. I would stay at MDM Guest House again next time im in Rome. The closeness to the Vatican, restaurants and shops made the hotel easy to come rest when we got tired.
