Staff were very helpful and friendly. Beds and pillows comfortable. Bathroom sink so tiny and without a Plug making shaving very difficult. Radiators so noisy as to be unusable when asleep. This hotel was all form with little substance and poor attention to detail and low standards of cleanliness and maintenance. Breakfast very low standard.

I wanted to love the room but it had no window to the outside and was right next to the stairs and people were slamming the door / running up and down the stairs. Location and staff were great but the particular room I had was not ideal for me. I would have liked to know about the lack of window. For the price, wasn’t worth it.

We had the absolute best stay with Max Brown! The staff was extremely welcoming and fun to chat with. The bar, coffee, and snacks were wonderful. The whole experience felt perfectly curated, charming, and unique. We thoroughly enjoyed their food and activity recommendations. They booked a canal tour for us with unlimited wine and cheese. They even provided a vibey Spotify playlist that we enjoyed while hanging out in our room. 10/10 we will stay here again! Thank you Max Brown Hotel for an unforgettable and special experience!

Cons - there are no lifts, and the stairs are steep, but the staff offered to help carry my case. Pro's - it's a quiet and lovely location, but close to multiple small restaurants. An easy 40 minute walk to most places I wanted to visit like the Rijksmuseum.

Nice hotel

Great little hotel in a good location, loved the basketball hoops in the room. Breakfast wasn’t the greatest (run out of loads of things including juice and only bread and tomatoes for a vegan) We would definitely stay there again, but wouldn’t have use breakfast.
