Spent 10 days there and it was honestly such a calm and relaxing stay. All staff were wonderful and took the time out to decorate the room for my birthday and added a few goodies. Very sweet! I just now realize I never actually got to see the garden or terrace! Bummer!Had I known which way to climb, I'd have spent some nights out with my hot chocolate! Lol. Next time! The staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of places around the area, im sure i snnoyed them with questions and suggestions, but yhry were dsoo helpful and sleays with positive energy! Will definitely be back.

Second time of staying at this property and just as pleasant as I remembered. There is a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff at reception. The room I was allocated was immaculately clean and very comfortable with a nice ensuite equipped with a very efficient shower. Stairs are steep in the property but there is fair warning of that in the hotel details. The buffet style breakfast was fresh and with a good choice of items. The hotel is convenient for Centraal Station, only five minutes walk away and very easy to find. Surrounding streets were very littered which detracted from the pleasantness of the general neighbourhood but that is hardly the hotel's problem. It is also very convenient for visiting many of Amsterdam's attractions and only a short distance from shops and restaurants.

The location of the hotel in the heart of Amsterdam’s Canal District is truly fantastic. It felt safe, quiet, and incredibly convenient everything was within walking distance, which made exploring the city a pleasure. However, there were a few concerns that impacted the overall experience. The curtain covering the door in our room was broken, making it difficult to fully close and maintain privacy. The walls were also very thin it often sounded like people upstairs were coming through our door, and unfortunately, we could hear intimate noises from the room above while staying with young children, which made things quite uncomfortable. Another issue was the bathroom window. The blinds didn’t offer proper coverage, and with a window directly across from ours, it created a privacy concern. We had to improvise a solution using a record player our son had purchased just to block the view. While the central location is a major highlight, the room felt quite outdated and the furniture was stained, which didn’t match the premium price point.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was fabulous. The hotel had a very cool vibe. Our room had magnificent views. What could have been even better if the room had had a full length mirror and if the bathroom fan had been working. Small but significant points, easily fixed.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location. Very clean! The only thing I would say is the shower water pressure is awful! If you have long hair you may as well stand out in the rain! Also, there was a constant smell of cigarettes throughout the night.. very strange! But apart from that it’s a lovely little hotel with a very entertaining staircase!!

The hotel was nice, classic Amsterdam hotels will small bar/check in area and rooms spread around. Great location, in the nicer part if town as well. I didnt like that our rooms were accessed via a separate front door e.g. didnt go through the lobby/bar to access them. You had use your key at another front door on the street and access your room from there. The problem was some customers didnt shut that door, meaning anyone could, in theory get inside - i wasnt a fan of this bit! The room itself was nice, comfy bed and small bath room.
