Tamaro In Ideal Location

Hotel Tamaro is situated ideally on the waterfront in the Ascona harbor. The accommodations are solid, if not spectacular. The front desk was extremely helpful and proactive in calling the evening of our arrival to ensure we were en route and waited late to check us in. For the price and a one night stay, it was very nice. Recommended.

Perfect view of the Lake Maggiore

Bedroom view was the Lake Maggiore and proved to be the most pleasing part of the stay. Room size was alright although the bathroom and shower facilities needed an upgrade. During the stay, the weather was warm and with no airconditioning it was a bit stiffling and humid. Restaurant personnel serving at night was slow that made various customers leave as prompt attention was not given.

Freundlichkeit eigentlich sehr nett, ausser einer Dame am Empfang, was ich etwas schade finde da es meine Bewertung beeinflusst hat. Das Schwimmbad ist recht weit entfernt und hat keine brauchbare Sanitäranlage, jedoch schön im Grünen. Die Zimmer sind etwas klein, das Bad ist neu renoviert und es hat einen grossen Flachbildschirm. Die Lage ist top!

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Besonders hat uns der Neffe (oder Sohn?) der Besitzer wohlfühlen lassen. Er begrüsste die Gäste stets mit einem Strahlen im Gesicht und war allgemein sehr aufmerksam. Wir haben uns sehr gefreut, dass man von unserem Zimmer aus sogar seitlich auf den See gesehen hat. Die Terrasse zum See, auf der man sein darf und auch das Frühstück geniessen kann, war grandios. Verabschiedet wurden wir mit den Worten: „Wir warten auf euch mit offenen Armen“. Wir bedanken uns für den schönen Aufenthalt in Ihrem Haus.
