my relatives and I booked 3 rooms at his property. We liked the location, their staff and restaurant. We were dissapointed because the hotel advertised their place with A/C but unfortunatly tthe 3 A/C units in our rooms were not working right. Our rooms were so warm and they said there's notjhing they could do about their defective A/C. We all stayed at Amalia for 2 nights before our 10 day Cruise. They lent us 3 electric fans in all our rooms but the comfort we experienced were not acceptable. Very unhappy with the inconveniences we got. Too bad because the location of theiri hotel and the view from the restaurant were commendable. We will not stay in this hotel again unless they fix or regulate their A/Cs.

The staff was wonderful. They went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. It offered something for everyone. The only negative about the hotel is the room. It needed remodeling. The furniture was in bad shape and there were no outlets to plug in our devices. We had to unplug a lamp to charge our phones. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom either. The room was very dark and the lamps provided little light.

Comfortable room with an included buffet breakfast that was wonderful. The rooftop restaurant has an amazing view of Acropolis. All the sites were within easy walking distance. This was a great place to stay in Athens.

The breakfast options for vegetarian/vegan could’ve been better with more option for Asian Travellers. And also we discovered that the room keeping person who had come to do up our room on 1/4/25 had gone through our stuff, as we found some items not in the usual place. So if you can guide/instruct staff not to go through guests’ stuff/items/luggage.

I had a wonderful stay at hotel Amalia — it’s perfectly positioned for exploring the city. Transport to and from the airport was incredibly convenient, and all the major local attractions were just a short distance away, making it an ideal base for sightseeing. The breakfast selection was great, with plenty of options to suit different tastes, setting us up nicely for the day. The hotel itself had everything you’d want from a city stay: comfortable, well-equipped rooms and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a hassle-free, well-connected hotel in the heart of the city!

Great staff, perfect location

The staff were excellent and great ambience and food in the Whispers restaurant. The room was too warm at night as the air conditioning was not in use during winter months but we could leave the balcony door open for cool air. The location is excellent, near Sytagma square and opposite the national gardens. You can also see the 1896 Olympic stadium from the rooftop bar, lit up at night. Ideal for transport to and from the airport. We used the metro on arrival but went back via X95 bus which was cheaper and just as convenient, drops right outside departures at the airport. We would stay at Amalia again if we visit Athens.
