Unhappy with my stay
I reserved my room using my cash rewards. I have stayed in this motel many times in the last 25 years.
I checked in. Went to eat supper. Got ready for bed and found the TV remote would not work. Took it to the front desk and was given a replacement remote. That one didn't work either. I was too tired to go back to the front desk so I went to the sink to wash my face - There was only a pencil-lead thin stream of water that barely dripped out. I cycled the shutoff valve for both hot and cold water. They seemed to work fine but the hot water still did not work. I was too tired to go back to the front desk so I went to bed.
At checkout the next morning I gave a note to the clerk detailing my problems with the room. I asked for some "consideration" on my bill. I was told, Because you did not report it last night there is nothing I can do." I told him I go to the office last night and was given a new remote but that one didn't work either. He still said there was nothing he could do.
That was not the way I expected to be treated. I had been polite in all my conversations with the clerk the night before and that morning.
I am sick and tired of shoddy maintenance and not getting my money's worth. As I stated earlier, I have stayed in that motel many times in 25 years and would like to stay there again because it is very convenient. I am requesting a full refund to my rewards account for the bill that night.
