Second stay here! When I return to an accommodation, its usually because of the staff! The Vagabond Buttonwillow is no exception! From the GM, Kathy and George and Stephanie- such an award winning and friendly team! A great location for me when working outside of LA, and such a pleasant and accommodating staff- why wouldnt anyone stay here. The free coffee and breakfast is not advertised on line, but is always a nice added touch. Some may say " its only waffles and cereal", I say " what are you complaining about its a free extra value built into the already low price! If you want bigger varierty, Starbucks is 2 blocks away. The pool is nice and clean and enjoyable too. Great place!

Great Spot for a Break

Great stop to break drive. Pool was clean and refreshing. Room was basic but had all we needed for a great night’s sleep. Highly recommend.

The hotel is very conveniently ppaced next to the 5. A few chain restsurants around and some decently priced gas. Being close to the 5 it is a bit noisy but the rooms do a decent job of blocking out the sound. Safe spot, lots of CHP rolling through at a pretty regular place. If youre just looking for a cheap spot to stay on a long road trip this place is perfect.

Stayed here many times. The noise level from I-5 is high, but it is high at the other hotels here as well. Breakfast is limited. Staff is friendly. Ok for a quick overnight stop.

Cheap hotel for a night's rest

This hotel is perfect for an inexpensive stop to sleep. No frills, just beds and a bathroom. It has always been clean, though there is sometimes damage to a wall or door frame that needs to be done.
