Perfect spot for traveling down California. Pretty much what you expect room wise. Bed was comfortable. Water pressure was fine. Great Value and convenient being next to the highway for travelers.

My go to place and only a couple hours from LAX. A pretty quiet location. Rooms are cool and clean. Furniture and furnishings seem a bit dates but the stay is an excellent value.

We stay often at this inn. Great prices and near by food and mini marts. Make reservations as soon as you know you will be needing a place to stay, it fills up quickly.

just by the freeway, clean. Breakfast was very limited- waffle maker, coffee machine, cereal. no egg, no bread. Ate at the Indian Restaurant nearby, great food.

Room looked clean, but had bad smell as not opened since many days , one spot also had a spider web. One of the bed in room 207 was out of shape ( was bent in from center)

Every room had a door mat outside that looked like they had been chewed up by a dog. Once in the room I could see daylight under the door. There was at least a half inch gap. The night lock on the door was loose and not secure. The floors felt gritty and dirty. There was dry rot in the bathroom and paint peeling off the walls. This place should not be allowed on Hotels.com. In need of a major makeover.

Second stay here! When I return to an accommodation, its usually because of the staff! The Vagabond Buttonwillow is no exception! From the GM, Kathy and George and Stephanie- such an award winning and friendly team! A great location for me when working outside of LA, and such a pleasant and accommodating staff- why wouldnt anyone stay here. The free coffee and breakfast is not advertised on line, but is always a nice added touch. Some may say " its only waffles and cereal", I say " what are you complaining about its a free extra value built into the already low price! If you want bigger varierty, Starbucks is 2 blocks away. The pool is nice and clean and enjoyable too. Great place!

Great Spot for a Break

Great stop to break drive. Pool was clean and refreshing. Room was basic but had all we needed for a great night’s sleep. Highly recommend.
