Room was somewhat cramped with the king bed, but thoughtful layout. Breakfast buffet was good with a mix of standard Holiday Inn Express items (turkey sausage and "scramble" patties) and local items (sweet buns, Portuguese sausage). Level 5 deck amenities were nice on days that you just want to relax for a bit. The location of the property is genius, its a few crosswalks away from Waikiki beach and at the head of Kuhio and Kalakaua Avenues which feature a lot of great food and shopping. It's also got bus stops right outside which provide great service to just about anywhere on the island. So TL;DR: Hotel itself was an average IHG experience, location is amazing.

The breakfast is great and the location of the hotel is nice too. The front desk staff were extremely rude, especially Reese. I did not recieve enough breakfast vouchers for my entire stay, so I had asked very nicely for more since I was in fact a registered hotel guest. She legit screamed at me, talking down to me and was completely out of hand! I have never in my entire life been spoken to in that manner. Worst customer experience I have ever had. I have never wrote a bad review until now. She should not be working in customer service.

The room was clean and had everything I needed. (Fridg., microwave, and safe.) It was a bit small, but that was okay. Also, it had a window unit, so the room stayed comfortable. The breakfast had a wide variety of foods.
