The hotel is very nice, old building but very well maintained. All the staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Carlton and Jamal. Vallet parking is available for 30 USD/night. We booked via hotels.com with breakfast, you get vouchers which you use but we had to pay something additional as it seem vouchers are 15 USD and since you order a la carte, it depends on what is the price of the dish. Our room was facing the main street, so it was quite noisy, but it didn't bother our sleep.

Last summer we were pleased with our breakfast, Thurs night dinner/jazz and overall 2 night stay in rm 822. So this time I decided to upgrade to a corner room for window light on 2 sides and enjoy a view based on the website photos. We were given rm 324 which technically is a corner room on the posted evacuation floor plan. But I was disappointed that at this level there are windows on only one side and did not offer a view that a higher floor would have afforded. I returned to the desk to ask if this was really considered a corner room but was told this was all that was available. Otherwise we enjoy the hotel and this will not prevent me from rebooking. Suggestion---it would be nice to have a towel bar in the bathroom to hang wet washcloths instead of draping them over the sink.
