I was very impressed with the cleanliness of this hotel. Everything looked and smelled clean. The staff was incredibly friendly. I thought that because it was a hotel/casino it would be smoky and not very clean, but it was exactly the opposite. I would definitely come back to stay here again.

Loved the property and the room was fine for a couple of nights. Menu could really use more options. Especially since the buffet is kind of expensive and it isn’t available all the time. Ended up eating at the restaurant twice sort of boring, but staff was wonderful. I love the casino and the free coffee and beverages as well. We’re very much a delight.

Unfortunately, one of the main interest at the monarch is the rooftop hot tub and bars outside of the casinos. During this stay, the outdoor tub was under construction and not available for use. We were directed to the indoor hot tub, which typically has a bar that is open till 10 PM. The bartender decided to close early at 8:30 PM and mysteriously stepped away from the pool area. Patrons left in the pool area had to get dressed and go back down to the casino to find cocktails. Then to make matters more disappointing, housekeeping knocked at our door at 8 AM in the morning and wanted to know when we would be checking out so that they could clean our room. So much for sleeping in and having a slow morning! We decided to get dressed and hit the road after trying the breakfast downstairs. Our food was mid-cooked twice and we ended up just settling for coffee and toast. Worst stay ever. Monarch is a gem of a property and I hope that this was just a one off in terms of service.

The USB did not work for my phone charger. I missed my flight cause my phone died no alarm then one of the lights would not turn off so I had to sleep with the light on all night. Just frustrating for what I paid for the room. it was more like a super eight.
