Stopped here on a road trip from NY to FL for a night. The valet attendant was super nice and helped us figure out the best place to park. Check in was quick and smooth, the receptionist was very nice and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Sleep was comfortable. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast. Only negative is that the vibe outside is not great. I didn’t feel safe but the staff definitely helped separate the hotel from what was happening right outside.

The elevators malfunctioning where the doors continued to close as I was already through the door, holding hot coffee, caused a burn on my face and hand. Additionally having the cleaning staff enter the elevators with their over sized cart, on an already full elevator, was not only rude but very inconvenient. This happened numerous times during my stay.

Don’t recommend

I have stayed at many Residence Inns and love them for our family. This one however was so bad that we considered leaving and going to another hotel. There’s no parking, so you have to find a place to park in the city and lug your stuff from the garage. The hotel was run down and not kept well: elevator was creaky, and shower doors were stuck so it was open on both sides when showering, and the bathroom faucet was broken. The breakfast was bad and nothing like the other Residence Inns. The area was a little sketchy with loud people loitering the area around the hotel and some homeless in the streets at night. Only reason this isn’t a 1 out of 5 is that the front desk staff was friendly, linens were clean, and beds were comfortable.
