My usual go-to hotel whenever I visit Desaru. I was here to compete in the 2025 Ironman 70.3 Desaru. Perfect location to the race site.

Got welcome drinks, free upgrade of room types, just pillow smelly and request for change, breakfast so so but staff give us priority because we have 2 small children , swimming pool a bit small, location is good , walking distance to desaru adventure water park, service super good.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru! From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch and made our trip truly memorable. A special shout-out to the amazing staff at SESSIONS BY HARD ROCK — they were efficient, attentive, and always greeted us with a smile. Matt and his team deserve special mention for their outstanding hospitality. We also thoroughly enjoyed The Session live band — their performance added such great energy and entertainment to our evenings. I would also like to compliment your staff Eyka, who was serving at the noodle station during breakfast. Despite being busy tending to her station, she went above and beyond to fulfill my wife’s request for chili padi. Eyka personally delivered a bowl of chili padi to our table, all with a warm and genuine smile. Small gestures like these truly reflect the excellent service standards at Hard Rock Desaru. Thank you, Hard Rock Desaru, for an unforgettable experience — we can’t wait to return!

This is my fourth stay at Hard Rock, and it always feels like home. I truly appreciate the thoughtfulness of offering breakfast as early as 4:30 AM for race participants, as well as the convenient bike cleaning towels and washing area. One area that could be improved is the Wi-Fi signal, which tends to be weak. Overall, though, it’s always a worthy and enjoyable stay. Desaru ironman 70.3

A very fun hotel with helpful staff and excellent live music at night. Extremely convenient due to its location next to the excellent and very kid-friendly waterpark.

Decent property that’s over priced. Likes: Nice rooms, Waterpark located at the hotel itself. Dislikes: Arrival experience was poor, pretty non existent. Food choices were highly limited especially for vegetarians, the buffet had nearly the same items for 2 consecutive nights.

The staff has informed us that will need to pay tourism tax if it's not book by local. Got baby stool chair. Free to watch cartoon or disney movie, no youtube. Provide buggy service to beach. Clean, free parking, staffs friendly, food ok. Cons: It's will be good if kids playing area are free.

Pool and pool bar needs work

Good size room with sea view. All areas clean and well staffed. Pool bar menu - many drinks and food out of stock (due to us arriving after a public holiday). Food that was available wasn’t great. Nice cocktails Pool had tiles missing at the bottom, which made it sharp and not great for kids. According to pool side staff, the reason for loud distorted bass levels with the music is because it’s ’hard Rock’…. Music was good just bass too loud to be able to have a conversation. Evening entertainment- the band are good, drinks reasonable price and service great. We found a great Italian restaurant across the road at The Westin for dinner.
